Manaos or Manaus is the gate to visit the incredible Amazon Rainforest, in the northwest of Brazil.  Of course, it´s a big city and you will find many hotels there to stay during your visit to the area. But today, I will suggest Anavilhanas Jungle Lodge, a cozy and exclusive jungle hotel located in front of Parque Nacional de Anavilhanas (Anavilhanas National Park), in the margins of Negro River, 180km from Manaus, in the heart of the Brazilian Amazon. So, you will arrive to this wonderful lodge, after 2:30 hours from Manaus, to discover a unique place surrounded by Rio Negro, Igarapés do Pato and Igarapés do Monteiro. The hotel is in front of Arquipélago de Anavilhanas (Anavilhanas Archipelago), a national park with more than 400 pristine islands! The dark waters of the river, with pH between 4,3 and 5,2, inhibit the proliferation of insects.

The hotel is awesome and offers cottages, bungalows, and great service: a swimming Pool overlooking Rio Negro and islands, a fitness Center, a deck with hammocks, an outdoor lounge, 13m high Observation Deck with a stunning view over the river and the Anavilhanas Archipelago. Reception lounge and Concierge, TV lounge (SKY HD channels) with non-electronic games for kids
Bar serving a special selection of caipirinhas and south-American wines, local handicraft shops, and convenience products, board games, a small library with books about the Brazilian Amazon…

Anavilhanas Jungle Lodge also offers a great restaurant, with a-la-carte service, and available for breakfast, lunch, snack, and dinner. Bar service is available of course.
