Carnival Experience in Rio de Janeiro
Start your experience with pick-up from selected hotels in Rio de Janeiro’s South Zone, including Copacabana, Leme, Ipanema, and Leblon. The activity operates from Monday to Saturday, with visits starting at 9:45 AM and 3:45 PM.
You will enter Samba City, a complex of warehouses used by Rio’s main samba schools to build and store elaborate floats and costumes for Carnival.
Next, visit the Grande Rio Samba Factory, where you will learn about the creative process behind the parade. Your guide will introduce you to the production of floats and costumes, as well as the concepts and work involved throughout the year.
Inside the colorful exhibition room, you will learn about the origins of samba and the history of samba school parades through images and videos.
To complete the experience, choose an authentic Carnival costume to wear and photograph, learn basic samba steps with an expert, and enjoy a welcome drink, with caipirinha, juice, or water available.

Cancellations can be done 72 hours prior to departures
After booking and finalizing payment, you will receive a confirmation for your purchase. Then, in less than 24 hours, you will receive the voucher that you can use to take the excursions.
If the reservation is for the next day, we will be attentive and we will send you the voucher before your excursion begins.
The tour includes live commentary in English and Portuguese. Other languages may be available on request.

Once you’ve completed your booking and payment, you’ll receive a confirmation of your purchase. Within 24 hours, you’ll receive the voucher you’ll need to participate in the excursions.
