You will discover San Rafael Glacier, crossing the Llanquihue, and visiting Chiloé and Aysén archipelagos. Another great visits are the Quitralco hot springs, Puerto Aguirre, Quemchi, Islote Barrientos, Islote Conejos and Dalcahue, again in Chiloe Island. Itinerary

Day 1

SKORPIOS CRUISE // PUERTO MONTT - Welcome aboard!

SATURDAY

  • 12:00 PM: Weigh anchor from Puerto Montt and sail through the Llanquihue Archipelago, with views of the city of Calbuco. Cross Ancud Gulf.
  • 04:30 PM: Arrive in Quemchi on the island of Chiloé. Disembark on small boats to explore the picturesque village. Visit the local handicraft market, cafes, the museum dedicated to Chilean author Francisco Coloane, and enjoy a leisurely stroll through the charming streets.
  • 06:30 PM: Continue sailing south along the Chiloé Archipelago and cross the Gulf of Corcovado at midnight. It’s our first night aboard the Skorpios II Cruise. Prepare for dinner and an overnight stay!

Day 2

SKORPIOS II - Navigate southern channels in Patagonia

SUNDAY

  • 08:00 AM: Navigate through the Moraleda and Ferronave Channels.
  • 11:00 AM: Arrive at the fishing village of Puerto Aguirre, nestled within the Chonos Archipelago. Enjoy a walk through the village, passing through a typical Patagonian rainforest to reach a scenic lookout.
  • 01:30 PM: Continue navigation through the Ferronave, Pilcomayo, and Casma Channels.
  • 04:00 PM: Arrive at Islote Barrientos. Disembark into smaller boats to explore rock formations and visit one of Chile’s largest bird colonies, including Kelp Gulls, Rock Shags, Red-Legged Shags, and Imperial Shags. South American Fur Seals are also commonly seen here.
  • 05:00 PM: Head south, arriving around 10:00 PM in Caleta Quesahuen or Punta Leopardos, approximately 20 nautical miles from the San Rafael Glacier. Get ready for a delightful dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3

SKORPIOS II - Enjoy the incredible San Rafael Glacier

MONDAY

  • After breakfast, enjoy the third day aboard the Skorpios II Cruise.
  • 07:30 AM: Cross the Tempanos Channel to enter San Rafael Lagoon.
  • 09:00 AM: Anchor 2 km from the glacier. Weather permitting, embark on boat excursions among the colorful icebergs.
  • 02:30 PM: Approach the glacier for a closer view.
  • 04:00 PM: Set sail towards Quitralco Fjord. Enjoy free time until dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4

SKORPIOS II - Quitralco and the hot springs

TUESDAY

  • 08:00 AM: The Skorpios II docks at Quitralco Pier. After breakfast, relax in the indoor and outdoor hot springs, with temperatures ranging from 32ºC to 38ºC.
  • Weather permitting, enjoy boat excursions inside the fjord in the afternoon.
  • 05:00 PM: Continue sailing towards Chiloé, navigating through the Moraleda and Pérez Norte Channels.
  • Enjoy free time to relax until dinner and overnight.

Day 5

SKORPIOS II CRUISE - Navigate more channels and islets

WEDNESDAY

  • Enjoy a free morning after breakfast.
  • After midnight, navigate through the Leucayec Channel and cross the Gulf of Corcovado around 05:30 AM. If you’re lucky, you may spot humpback or blue whales.
  • Continue along the east coast of Chiloé, arriving at 11:00 AM at Islote Conejos in the Queilen Channel. Disembark into small boats to visit the island, home to Magellan Penguins and various birds.
  • 01:00 PM: Sail through the Lemuy and Chelín Islands.
  • 04:30 PM: Arrive in Dalcahue. We highly recommend visiting the local handicraft market, the church, and strolling along the promenade.
  • 11:00 PM: Depart for Puerto Montt. Enjoy a farewell party and Captain’s dinner, a special moment to celebrate with the captain and his family. Overnight on board.

Day 6

SKORPIOS II - Return to Puerto Montt

THURSDAY

  • 08:00 AM: Enjoy breakfast on board as we dock in Puerto Montt.
  • 09:00 AM: Disembark.
