Well, I am really tempted to tell you that there is no better time to visit the Perito Moreno Glacier, because it is such an imposing and magical attraction that it is wonderful to visit it at any time. But of course, the climate plays a preponderant role, and without a doubt, the best time to visit El Calafate, the Perito Moreno Glacier and the Los Glaciares National Park depends a lot on the weather.

In general, the peak season to visit Patagonia in general, and of course Perito Moreno Glacier as a highlight in this region, is from October to March. It´s the high season, and of course the months of October and March/April are the less crowded during this high season. So, it´s not a bad idea to visit the Perito Moreno Glacier in September/October, or March/April. You will enjoy the place, and you will avoid big groups, crowds at the trails, and better rates of course!
