At Alta Vista, they know great wines are produced in unique places and that is why our vineyards are located on the best terroirs of Mendoza and Salta. There are 211 hectares planted in Mendoza, divided into five unique vineyards, all planted above 1000 meters above sea level. The one large vineyard in Cafayate is 1200 hectares. Each of these receives specific attention and tasks, and we call this Terroir Management.
The winery is in the heart of Chacras de Coria, 15 km south of Mendoza city. It is a historical building built in 1899, fully restored in 2003, and with all the cutting-edge winemaking technology. The technical systems are versatile, making an “haute couture” job possible in every wine segment. The winery stands out from all the rest because of its small tanks, which enable the production of high-quality wines. The underground cellars house the French oak wine barrels of Alta Vista.
Visits start with a tour around the production area and continue to the different wings of the winery. Visitors go downstairs to the cellars made of lime and pebble. The tour finishes in the boutique, a restored holding vat, from the year 1912, where our staff welcomes guests to enjoy a wine tasting. We offer guided and bilingual tours.
