“Asado”, “Bife de Chorizo…  I´m sure you´re familiar with these words if you traveled or will travel to Argentina. The Argentinian Meat is venerated

Argentine meat is worldwide recognized for its taste and quality. It is, no doubt, one of the best in the world. Of course, Buenos Aires offers a wide range of restaurants known as “parrillas”, where you can taste delicious meats. Today, I want to recommend a different option, which tries (and actually with success), to go a little further. Fogon, is an experience that invites us to meet the Argentine tradition of grilled argentine meats

Discover the tradition of the Asado served with a twist. Fogon has created an 8-course tasting menu that explores new ways of serving Argentine classic cuts of meat.  While sitting in our bar, you will see and experience different cooking techniques on the grill in a close and personal way. The goal is to create a memorable evening for each guest, beyond the usual expectations of a steakhouse.

Be ready to taste a wide variety of exquisite local wines, of course, the typical malbec, but also other interesting and different Argentinian Wines.

The personal was excellent. They will explain everything about each cut of meat, and will guide you in the preparation of the typical Argentine “chimichurri”, a kind of spice and vegetable sauce, which is used to season the meats.

The evening begins with a drink that combines gin and local wine called Torrontés. Very nice start. Then, both typical Argentine empanadas, accompanied by an exquisite wine comes, and the night change to very interesting. Be ready to drink wine, wine, and more wine… Then, the third course is a combination of Morcilla and Chorizo, also typical and Argentinian steps in an “asado”. These two are served with a gourmet touch. Very nice!  Then, the “matambrito”… sauced with yellow chili, lime and cilantro. Next step is a surprise, an exclusive portion of meat depending on what the cheff called “Parrillero”, or “Asador” find in local markets. Two cuts of the best argentine beef come then to finalize the “parrilla” time. Dessert is also exquisite, pancakes with local “dulce de leche” and coffee.
