Enjoy this 15-night program to combine the nature, the culture of Argentina and Brazil. The program starts in Rio but also can start in Buenos Aires if you want. Start visiting Rio, and the incredible Corcovado Mount and the Christ the Redeemer on top considered one of the new 7 wonders of the world. You also visit the Sugar Loaf, to see imposing views of Guanabara Bay and the beaches surrounding it. Enjoy Copacabana and Ipanema Beach, enjoy the Carnival culture visiting the Sambodromo, discover the Maracana Stadium, and more. The next step is Salvador de Bahia, a city linked to the origins of the Portuguese empire in the Americas. Enjoy the Pelourinho, the local culture, and discover the Capoeira, a mixed martial art with dance. Amazing!  Then, we will fly to Iguazu Falls, to visit this Unesco World Heritage and new 7-wonders of nature! We will visit the Brazilian and the Argentinian side. Be ready to take hundreds of photos of this unique place on earth. Then, we will fly to Buenos Aires, to visit this “European style” city in South America, and enjoy the Tango, the exquisite gastronomy (take a look and taste the beef, the mate, the empanadas, and the Malbec wine!). Discover some interesting places like Caminito in La Boca, San Telmo, 9 de Julio Avenue, the Obelisk, Colon Theatre, Recoleta, Palermo, Puerto Madero and more! Then, we will fly to Patagonia to visit El Calafate and the incredible Perito Moreno and other glaciers in Los Glaciares National Park. Taste the exquisite Patagonian Lamb and visit a typical estancia or farm in the Patagonian steppe.

Day 1

RIO DE JANEIRO

Arrive at Rio de Janeiro airport and transfer to your hotel. Founded in 1565, Rio de Janeiro is one of South America’s most captivating cities. With its warm people, vibrant culture, stunning beaches, and breathtaking landscapes, Rio is a must-see destination. After checking in at the hotel, you’ll have free time to rest. If you’re an early arrival and eager to explore, consider choosing from the list of activities available below.

Day 2

RIO DE JANEIRO: City Tour with Sugar Loaf

After breakfast, we’ll begin our first exploration of the Cidade Maravilhosa, or “Wonderful City” in Portuguese. Our tour starts with panoramic views of the beaches, followed by a visit to the Metropolitan Cathedral for some great photo opportunities and a bit of city history. Next, we’ll take the cable car to the iconic Sugarloaf Mountain. Be prepared to capture stunning panoramic views of Guanabara Bay, the surrounding beaches, Niteroi, and the Santa Cruz Fortress. After spending about 45 minutes on the hill, we’ll continue our tour, crossing the Santa Barbara Tunnel to see downtown Rio and then heading to the Sambodromo, the famous venue for Rio’s Carnival, the city’s biggest annual event.

Return to the hotel and enjoy free time for lunch. Since it’s a half-day excursion, you can choose from the activities listed below to enjoy the rest of your afternoon and evening in Rio de Janeiro.

 

 

Day 3

RIO DE JANEIRO: Corcovado and Christ the Redeemer

After breakfast, we’ll embark on our second tour of Rio de Janeiro, featuring the iconic Christ the Redeemer Statue, recently named one of the new Seven Wonders of the World. Located atop Corcovado Mountain, known for its distinctive shape, this statue was completed in 1926 and was a significant engineering feat. It remains a top attraction, drawing over 300,000 visitors each year. From the summit, you’ll enjoy panoramic views of downtown Rio and the southern area, perfect for memorable photos.

Following our visit to the statue, we’ll explore Tijuca Forest, a natural boundary that divides the city. This park boasts over 3,000 plant species, hundreds of bird varieties, and remarkable biodiversity. Without the forest, the city’s temperature might rise by approximately two degrees Celsius. The tour includes Corcovado Mountain, Christ the Redeemer, Tijuca Forest, the Chinese View, Taunay’s Waterfalls, and the Visitor Center.

Return to the hotel and enjoy free time for lunch. As this is another half-day trip, you can relax on the beach or consider adding some of our optional tours for a delightful afternoon and evening with interesting dinners and shows.

 

Day 4

RIO DE JANEIRO: Good bye cidade maravilhosa!

After breakfast, enjoy some free time until your transfer to the airport. If your flight is scheduled for the afternoon or evening, you can choose from the optional activities listed below to make the most of your last day in Rio.

SALVADOR DE BAHIA: Arrival to Bahia!

Arrive in Salvador de Bahia, a key city in Brazil and the country’s first colonial settlement. Salvador’s historic city center, Pelourinho, is a UNESCO Cultural Heritage Site, offering a glimpse into Brazil’s Baroque architecture with its impressive churches and centuries-old manors. With over 300 churches, one standout is the grand São Francisco Church. Experience Capoeira, a unique martial art that combines dance and combat. Salvador is also famous for its lively and competitive carnival celebrations. After your arrival, transfer to your hotel and enjoy some free time. Day 5

SALVADOR DE BAHIA: Visiting the city

After breakfast, we’ll embark on a city tour. Our first stop will be Farol da Barra, known for its stunning views and as the starting point for one of Brazil’s best carnivals. Next, we’ll explore the historic center, including Pelourinho, a vibrant area perfect for photography. After some free time for lunch, we’ll visit the lower city to see the Lacerda Elevator, tie a ribbon at Bonfim Church, and shop for souvenirs at Mercado Modelo. This half-day tour will then return to the hotel, where you’ll have more free time to choose from the optional activities available.

Day 6

SALVADOR DE BAHIA: Choose from many options!

After breakfast, enjoy a free day to explore Salvador at your own pace or select from our list of optional activities. You might choose to visit Morro do São Paulo, explore Chapada Diamantina, or take a boat trip to the tropical islands and Itaparica. More details are available in the list below.

SALVADOR DE BAHIA: Good bye Salvador!

After breakfast, enjoy some final free time until your transfer to the airport. If you have extra time before your departure, consider any of the alternative activities listed below.

IGUAZU FALLS: Arrival to Iguazu & check in

Arrive at Iguazu (Puerto Iguazu or Foz do Iguaçu, depending on your flight). Welcome to one of South America’s most incredible natural wonders! Iguazu Falls, recently named one of the New Seven Wonders of Nature and a UNESCO World Heritage site, is a must-see when visiting Argentina or Brazil.

Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to your hotel for check-in and some well-deserved rest. Enjoy your free time—relax by the pool or explore the city at your leisure.

Day 8

IGUAZU FALLS: The Argentinian Side. Enjoying the falls

After breakfast, get ready for an unforgettable excursion! Iguazu Falls is a truly unique destination, brimming with natural beauty. A guide will transfer you to Parque Nacional Iguazu on the Argentine side of the falls. The park features up to 8 kilometers of trails to explore, including three main circuits: the Upper Circuit, the Lower Circuit, and the trail to the magnificent Devil’s Throat, complete with the Ecological Train of the Jungle. The Devil’s Throat, with its 80-meter high waterfalls cascading into a narrow gorge, boasts the largest flow of any waterfall in the world—an awe-inspiring sight!

Day 9

IGUAZU FALLS: The Brazilian Side, a unique panoramic view of the falls

After breakfast, we’ll head to the Brazilian side of the falls. Parque Nacional do Iguaçu offers a different perspective with a scenic bus ride through the jungle and a stunning panoramic view of the falls from a 1,500-meter trail and an elevator. The views are spectacular, so be sure to have your camera ready for countless unforgettable photos!

This half-day tour can be combined with optional activities such as a visit to Parque Das Aves (Bird Park) or the Itaipu Dam. You can also add some adventure activities to your visit. Check out the options below.

After breakfast, enjoy some free time before your transfer to the local airport for your flight to the next destination.

BUENOS AIRES: Arrival to the capital city

Welcome to Buenos Aires, the vibrant capital city of Argentina and one of South America’s most significant cities! Upon arriving at Ministro Pistarini International Airport, also known as Ezeiza, you’ll be ready to dive into the European charm of its architecture, rich history, lively tango scene, fantastic cuisine, and the warmth of the local people, affectionately called “Porteños.” You’ll spend 3 nights in this captivating city, with the first day set aside for relaxation. Day 11

BUENOS AIRES: City Tour & Dinner Tango Show

After breakfast, embark on a 4-hour city tour to experience the best of Buenos Aires. Known for its European influence, the city’s architecture reflects its rich past when Argentina was one of the world’s leading nations.

The tour includes stops at several iconic areas:

  • La Boca: Famous for Caminito and the Boca Juniors Stadium, known as “La Bombonera.”
  • San Telmo: A traditional area where you can visit the famous San Telmo Fair on Sundays, showcasing intriguing antiques.
  • Plaza de Mayo: Home to the Government House “Casa Rosada,” the Cabildo, the Cathedral, and rich historical sites.
  • Obelisk and 9 de Julio Avenue: Major landmarks in the city.
  • Colon Theatre: One of the world’s most prestigious opera houses. You can opt for a guided tour, but be sure to purchase tickets in advance. Contact us for more details.

Day 12

BUENOS AIRES: Enjoying the countryside. Visit to an estancia in the Pampas

Following breakfast, we’ll head to the Pampas for a visit to a traditional estancia (farm). This classic excursion, often referred to as “Fiesta Gaucha,” offers a taste of local traditions. Enjoy a memorable “Asado Criollo” (barbecue), horse riding, and a traditional folklore show. After an included lunch, watch a gaucho demonstration with horse activities known as Carreras de Sortijas.

We’ll return to the hotel around 5 PM, giving you some free time to relax or explore optional activities listed below.

EL CALAFATE: Arrival to the gate to the glaciers

Arrive in El Calafate, a key gateway to explore the stunning Perito Moreno Glacier and other magnificent glaciers in the region. After checking in to your accommodation, you have some free time to relax. For those eager to explore, various optional activities are available on your arrival day. See the options below.

Day 14

EL CALAFATE: The incredible Perito Moreno Glacier

After breakfast, embark on a visit to one of Patagonia’s highlights: the breathtaking Perito Moreno Glacier.
El Calafate is situated 80 km from the glacier, with the journey taking you along a 50 km paved road. The final 30 km are within Los Glaciares National Park.
During the first 40 km, you’ll traverse the Patagonian steppe, a typical feature of the region. Once inside the National Park, you’ll notice a dramatic change in vegetation, with ñires (Nothofagus antarctica), guindos (Nothofagus betuloides), and lengas (Nothofagus pumilio) becoming prominent. You may also see some isolated canelos (Drimys winteri) and vibrant flowers, such as the intense red notro (Embothrium coccineum), the iconic flower of the Andean Patagonian forest.
Upon reaching the glacier, you’ll be awestruck by its grandeur and can enjoy unforgettable views from the walking paths. There will be free time to experience the glacier’s splendor, including watching massive ice blocks tumble into the lake with a thunderous roar—an awe-inspiring natural spectacle. Facilities at the glacier include a restaurant, snack bar, restrooms, and a pay campsite.
Optional activities include the Mini Trekking, where you can walk on the glacier’s ice, or the Nautical Safari, a boat tour offering views of the glacier from the lake. Details of these options are available below.
This is a full-day excursion, with return to the hotel expected in the late afternoon.

Day 15

EL CALAFATE: Free day. Choice of activities!

After breakfast, the day is free for you to choose from various full-day boat navigation tours, each offering unique views of different glaciers within Los Glaciares National Park. Check out the available options below.

Day 16

EL CALAFATE: Transfer out to the airport

After breakfast, enjoy some free time until your transfer to the airport or bus station for the next leg of your journey. If your departure is in the afternoon, you may select an engaging optional activity from our list below.
