Day 1

BUENOS AIRES: Arrival to the capital city

Welcome to Buenos Aires, the vibrant capital city of Argentina and one of South America’s most significant cities! Upon arriving at Ministro Pistarini International Airport, also known as Ezeiza, you’ll be ready to dive into the European charm of its architecture, rich history, lively tango scene, fantastic cuisine, and the warmth of the local people, affectionately called “Porteños.” You’ll spend 3 nights in this captivating city, with the first day set aside for relaxation. However, if you’re eager to start exploring right away, check out our optional tours listed below. We offer a range of activities suited to all types of travelers.

Day 2

BUENOS AIRES: City Tour & Dinner Tango Show

After breakfast, embark on a 4-hour city tour to experience the best of Buenos Aires. Known for its European influence, the city’s architecture reflects its rich past when Argentina was one of the world’s leading nations.

The tour includes stops at several iconic areas:

  • La Boca: Famous for Caminito and the Boca Juniors Stadium, known as “La Bombonera.”
  • San Telmo: A traditional area where you can visit the famous San Telmo Fair on Sundays, showcasing intriguing antiques.
  • Plaza de Mayo: Home to the Government House “Casa Rosada,” the Cabildo, the Cathedral, and rich historical sites.
  • Obelisk and 9 de Julio Avenue: Major landmarks in the city.
  • Colon Theatre: One of the world’s most prestigious opera houses. You can opt for a guided tour, but be sure to purchase tickets in advance. Contact us for more details.

The tour will also take you through the neighborhoods of Recoleta, Palermo, and Puerto Madero—a revitalized dockside area known for its excellent gastronomy. Here, you can end your tour with a delightful lunch and savor local cuisine.

After the tour, enjoy the city at your leisure. Consider visiting the Colon Theatre with a Walking Tour or taking an excursion to the Tigre Delta. In the evening, optional activities include an exciting Tango Show or a Buenos Aires by Night tour before returning to your hotel to rest for the next day’s adventures. Check out our options below.

Day 3

BUENOS AIRES: Enjoying the countryside. Visit to an estancia in the Pampas

Following breakfast, we’ll head to the Pampas for a visit to a traditional estancia (farm). This classic excursion, often referred to as “Fiesta Gaucha,” offers a taste of local traditions. Enjoy a memorable “Asado Criollo” (barbecue), horse riding, and a traditional folklore show. After an included lunch, watch a gaucho demonstration with horse activities known as Carreras de Sortijas.

We’ll return to the hotel around 5 PM, giving you some free time to relax or explore optional activities listed below.

Day 4

BUENOS AIRES: Good bye to the big city

After breakfast, enjoy some free time until your transfer to the local airport for your flight or to the pier for your next destination. For more details on optional excursions, see the list below.

TRELEW: Welsh Culture and Dinosaurs of Patagonia

Arrive at Trelew Airport or Puerto Madryn Airport. Trelew is a significant city in Chubut Province and serves as a gateway for those visiting Peninsula Valdes. Founded by Welsh settlers in the 19th century, it offers a unique blend of history and natural beauty. From the airport, you’ll be transferred directly to your hotel in Puerto Madryn, the main city in the area and the perfect starting point for exploring the remarkable Peninsula Valdes.

It’s your first day in Puerto Madryn, so you might want to relax or take a leisurely walk around the city. If you’re feeling adventurous and the activity is available, consider visiting Doradillo Beach. Here, you can marvel at the incredible sight of whales and their calves just a few meters from the shore—a truly unique and awe-inspiring natural spectacle! Please note, this optional activity is generally available from June to mid-September.

Day 5

PENINSULA VALDES: A sealife paradise

After breakfast, we’ll embark on one of the area’s signature excursions: a visit to Peninsula Valdes, a haven of marine and land wildlife. Expect to see not only whales and penguins but also sea lions, elephant seals, various bird species, and land animals like maras, guanacos, and foxes. We will reach the Peninsula via the Istmo Ameghino, where you’ll find an interpretation center and can spot birds at Bird Island using binoculars.

Our primary stop will be Puerto Piramides, a small village and hub for various activities. One highlight is the renowned whale-watching tour, available from June to mid-December. This optional activity lets you observe these majestic creatures up close from a boat—check the options below for more details.

After whale-watching, we’ll head to Caleta Valdes to visit two colonies: sea lions and elephant seals. Be sure to check our calendar for details on the fauna you can expect to see during your visit.

We’ll return to Puerto Piramides for the night, and if you’re visiting during penguin season, you’ll have the chance to explore the San Lorenzo penguin colony the following day. Check the optional activities below.

Day 6

PENINSULA VALDES: Penguins and more

After breakfast, take some time to enjoy the stunning ocean views from the coast—whales can often be seen and heard from here, which is truly amazing! Following this, we’ll continue our exploration of Peninsula Valdes, heading north to Punta Norte to see the sea lions and elephant seals. During March, April, and the September/October period, you might even spot orcas, though sightings are rare.

Next, if you’re visiting during penguin season, we’ll visit Estancia San Lorenzo to witness the largest penguin colony in South America, home to over 500,000 penguins in the summer. It’s an unforgettable experience!

After exploring the penguin colony, we’ll return to Puerto Madryn for our final night in the area.

Day 7

WELSH CULTURE & DINOSAURS OF PATAGONIA

On our last day, we’ll head to Trelew for your departure flight. Before you go, we’ll enjoy some exciting activities in the city. One highlight is the MEF (Museo Egidio Feruglio), which houses a remarkable collection of Patagonian dinosaurs. A must-see is the replica of Patagotitan Mayorum, one of the largest land animals ever discovered.

After the museum, we’ll visit Gaiman, a Welsh colony where you can enjoy a traditional Welsh tea (optional—see below for details).

Following these visits, we’ll transfer you to the airport for your flight to your next destination.

EL CALAFATE: Arrival to the gate to the glaciers

Arrive in El Calafate, a key gateway to explore the stunning Perito Moreno Glacier and other magnificent glaciers in the region. After checking in to your accommodation, you have some free time to relax. For those eager to explore, various optional activities are available on your arrival day. See the options below.

Day 8

EL CALAFATE: The incredible Perito Moreno Glacier

After breakfast, embark on a visit to one of Patagonia’s highlights: the breathtaking Perito Moreno Glacier.
El Calafate is situated 80 km from the glacier, with the journey taking you along a 50 km paved road. The final 30 km are within Los Glaciares National Park.
During the first 40 km, you’ll traverse the Patagonian steppe, a typical feature of the region. Once inside the National Park, you’ll notice a dramatic change in vegetation, with ñires (Nothofagus antarctica), guindos (Nothofagus betuloides), and lengas (Nothofagus pumilio) becoming prominent. You may also see some isolated canelos (Drimys winteri) and vibrant flowers, such as the intense red notro (Embothrium coccineum), the iconic flower of the Andean Patagonian forest.
Upon reaching the glacier, you’ll be awestruck by its grandeur and can enjoy unforgettable views from the walking paths. There will be free time to experience the glacier’s splendor, including watching massive ice blocks tumble into the lake with a thunderous roar—an awe-inspiring natural spectacle. Facilities at the glacier include a restaurant, snack bar, restrooms, and a pay campsite.
Optional activities include the Mini Trekking, where you can walk on the glacier’s ice, or the Nautical Safari, a boat tour offering views of the glacier from the lake. Details of these options are available below.
This is a full-day excursion, with return to the hotel expected in the late afternoon.

Day 9

EL CALAFATE: Free day. Choice of activities!

After breakfast, the day is free for you to choose from various full-day boat navigation tours, each offering unique views of different glaciers within Los Glaciares National Park. Check out the available options below.

Day 10

EL CALAFATE: Transfer out to the airport

After breakfast, enjoy some free time until your transfer to the airport or bus station for the next leg of your journey. If your departure is in the afternoon, you may select an engaging optional activity from our list below.
