Arrival to Santiago de Chile Airport. Reception and transfer to your hotel in Santiago. 3 nights of accommodation with breakfast
After breakfast, we will start a traditional city tour of Santiago de Chile.
Santiago is a great city combining a colonial legacy with the modernity of a developed city. We invite you to get to know it, visiting the main tourist attractions such as the oldest neighborhoods, the Church of San Francisco built from 1572 to 1618. Discover La Moneda, our government palace, the civic district, the Main Square, the oldest neighborhood in the city where we will find the Central Post Office, the City Hall ,and after that we will go to the Santa Lucía Hill place where the city was founded on February 12th,1541, located in the center of the city.
Finally, we will tour the most modern district, such as the Alonso de Córdova neighborhood and the Bicentenario Park.
Return to the hotel.
The cities of Valparaíso and Viña del Mar are located only 90 minutes from Santiago; the trip towards them takes you through the central valley, famous for its wines, fruits, and cheese. Valparaíso, declared in 2003 by the UNESCO as a World Heritage Site due to its exceptional testimony of the first phase of globalization of the end of the 19th century, is one of the Chile’s main ports, which through its spontaneous architecture –built on 41 hills- shows one of Chile’s most culturally active cities. Viña del Mar, on the other hand, initially was a land of wineries today is Chile’s most important beachside cities. Tour duration time: 9 hours.
Transfer to Santiago de Chile Airport to take flight to Puerto Montt. Arrival to Puerto Montt, the most important city in the area. We will transfer you to the beautiful Puerto Varas. 3 nights of accommodation with breakfast
After breakfast, at 08:30 am, we will start the excursion beginning the tour visiting the falls of the Petrohué River. Later we will arrive to Petrohué to embark in the boatthat will take us to Peulla, a small ecological village of 120 inhabitants. It is part of the famous tourist circuit Cruce Andino. The navigation has a duration of 1 hour and 45 minutes, from where can be observed the volcanoes Osorno, Puntiagudo, and Tronador, besides a privileged view of the Margarita island. In Peulla you have the opportunity to do some of the excursions of adventure (with additional cost for the passengers) as canopy, horseback ridings, fishing excursions, and a safari offered in this paradise of the nature. These tours can be taken in the navigation. Return to Puerto Varas, transfer back to your hotel.
After breakfast, we start our trip to Frutillar, first visiting the city of Llanquihue, famous for their sausages, and it is where Maullin River begins, and this area is part of the ancient Route of Settlers. In the city we visit the Memorial to the German Colonists, and then we will continue along the Llanquihue Lake to the Frutillar city.
This city is a beautiful village that recalls the old Bavaria, from there were the first settlers who arrived to this area. The city started in 1856 as a boarding pier, soon appeared tanneries, mills, breweries, etc. We will walk around its beautiful old houses of German style, admiring the gardens and incomparable views of the volcanoes Osorno and Puntiagudo.
As an option, passengers can go to the German Colonial Museum which portrays the life of the settlers (tickets not included), and at the lake shore observe the Teatro del Lago (Lake Theatre) here each year is presented the famous Frutillar Musical Week, this is a Summer Festival, presents classic music from Chile and abroad that offer each year, approximately 40 concerts.
From here we go to Puerto Octay, also located by the north shore of the lake, with a strong German influence it was the most important gateway to the agricultural products to Osorno city. We will see the ancient streets, the Main Square and the viewing point.
After breakfast, free time until transfer to Puerto Montt Airport, to take flight to Punta Arenas. Arrival and transfer to bus station to take public bus to Puerto Natales. Arrival and 3 nights of accommodation with breakfast
After breakfast, We will start trip to the incredible Torres del Paine National Park. Our firt stop will be made in the thousand-year-old Milodón cave. A enormous natural accident with an incalculable anthropological value where is believed that the Patagonia primitive man lived close to the Milodón , a extinct herbivorous animal.
After a 30 minutes trek another stop in El Castillo hill, cafeteria service available. A whole preamble before arriving at Torres del Paine National Park along the area of Laguna Amarga ( bitter lagoon). An real spectacle in which species of Red foxes and Condors use to join the beautiful panoramic sight of the Paine´s massif.
A short distance ahead the Norsdenskjold and Pehoé lakes can be observed in company with guanacos and rheas. The tour continues with a 10 minutes trek which will make possible for you to discover the marvelous Salto Grande ( grand jump) and you will face the imposing cuernos ( horns) and get the Gray Lake. In the afternoon the outing goes to the area of the glacier, there will a break for 1 ½ hr after the trek through the lengas ( native three) forest and on the Grey Glacier´s floes.
The return trip ends when we arrive at Puerto Natales and leave the passenger at bus terminal or hotels.
After breakfast, we will start the full day trip to Balmaceda and Serrano Glaciers.
Duration: 9 hrs from Puerto Natales
Visiting them means admiring a majestic place almost never touched by men. The only access to this zone is by sailing through the Seno de Última Esperanza (Last Hope Sound). The 2,035 meter Balmaceda mountain is part of the Bernardo O’Higgins National Park. Travelling to Balmaceda is a pleasure. The journey starts at Puerto Natales pier, going through forests of coigües, canelos, lengas, ñires, chilcos and calafates, and discovering sea wolves, cormorants, quetru ducks, condors and seagulls. When going along the coast, the ship gets closer to sea wolves colonies to finally reach the mountain. There is the Balmaceda glacier, where huge pieces of ice detach falling into the fjord waters and the Serrano glacier, located in the north where you can arrive by land next to a small lagoon formed by the de-icing activity.
The return trip starts around 2:30 PM and it includes one stop at the Perales estancia, where passengers have the chance to enjoy a delicious typical regional lunch. Around 5:30 PM, the tour returns to Puerto Natales.
After breakfast, free time until transfer to bus station to take public bus to Punta Arenas Airport. Flight to Santiago. Arrival and transfer to your hotel in Santiago. Overnight.
