Itinerary

Day 1

COLONIA DE SACRAMENTO: Arrival to Colonia

Upon arrival in Colonia, which may be via ferryboat from Buenos Aires, you’ll transfer to your hotel for check-in. Next, we’ll embark on a visit to one of Uruguay’s most incredible places: Colonia de Sacramento. Founded by the Portuguese and contested for a century, it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995. The old town has since been beautifully restored to captivate visitors with its unique cobbled streets, tranquil atmosphere, museums, and rich history. Colonia is also known for its excellent gastronomy.

During our city tour, we’ll explore the historic district, including the Citadel Gate, the famous Calle de Los Suspiros, the lighthouse, the church known as the “Basílica del Santísimo Sacramento,” and the old bullring. After the tour, you’ll have some free time to enjoy the city at your leisure before spending the night.
