Arrival to Santiago Merino Airport, in Santiago de Chile. The Chilean capital has become a good choice for international business travelers, developing a reputation as a calm and clean city with a good quality of life. Its one of the most important and populated cities in South America. Most government activities take place in Santiago’s downtown area, which is home to La Moneda (the presidential palace), Plaza de Armas, and the Judicial and Executive Branches. There are also many museums and shopping malls.Districts such as Providencia, Bellavista, Las Condes, and Vitacura offer a dazzling array of businesses, shops, and restaurants as well as a bustling nightlife.
Santiago is also located near many attractions such as the beach house of poet Pablo Neruda, Isla Negra, ski resorts located around 60 km from the city, spots in the Andean foothills like Cajón del Maipo, the port of Valparaíso, which is about an hour from Santiago, and Viña del Mar and other summer resorts on the shores of the Pacific Ocean. Options for enjoying the mountains and sea are always right at your fingertips in Santiago. After arrival, transfer to your hotel and check in. After breakfast, in the morning, our guide will be waiting for us for our first visit. We will enjoy a city tour to discover one of the most modern capitals of South America.
Santiago is a cosmopolitan and vibrant capital that perfectly combines tradition and modernity. The tour will allow you to know the origins of the city and emblematic places like the Cathedral, the Post Office, the Plaza de Armas, and the famous Palacio de la Moneda, the house of the Chilean government. You will discover the traditional neighborhoods of the historic center. We visit Santa Lucía hill, called Huelén by the natives, a real urban oasis in the heart of the center. Learn more about the history of Chile and enjoy privileged views of the capital and the mountains surrounding the city. The second part of the tour will take you to the east, to see the financial area of Santiago, and watch modern buildings. Duration is around 4 hours. Return to the hotel and free time.

After breakfast, our guide will be waiting for you to start our visit to Viña del Mar and Valparaiso, in the direction to Chiles coast. We drive through the country's main wine-producing areas, so we can admire the vineyard-covered landscapes along the way which is fascinating. We will stop to take some great photos of this important area. Again in the route we will continue to the coastal road known as the Camino de la Pólvora, arriving at Valparaíso, considered the cultural capital of Chile and full of colors and unique views of the pier and the city over the hill. We will visit the Muelle Prat, a historic dock filled with dozens of colorful boats.
From Plaza Sotomayor, the main gateway to Valparaíso from the sea, you'll immerse yourself in the old quarter, declared by UNESCO as a World Heritage Place.
We will visit the House-Museum of Pablo Neruda, called as La Sebastiana. You’ll then reach Paseo 21 de Mayo, a natural viewpoint at the bottom of the Artillería Hill, where you’ll be able to take in a panoramic view of Valparaíso’s view from the blue sea to the city and the surrounding mountains. Our next step is the visit to the city of Viña del Mar, whose name in Spanish means “Vineyard of the Sea”. The coastal town is also often called the Garden City, and you’ll soon see why when you visit sights such as the iconic Flower Clock on the side of Castle Hill. Free time for lunch and then, some free time to enjoy the beach, after return to your hotel in Santiago de Chile.
After breakfast, free time to enjoy the city until your transfer to the airport. If you leave the city in the afternoon or evening, you can choose any of our optional activities you can see below.

Arrival to Puerto Montt Airport or Puerto Varas Pier
Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel in Puerto Varas, the perfect starting point for exploring the beautiful Lakes District of Chile. You’ll have free time to relax, but if you’re feeling adventurous, you can opt for one of the many optional activities available (see options below).
After breakfast, we’ll embark on a full-day excursion to Frutillar, a charming city in the Los Lagos Region, located on the banks of Lake Llanquihue, the largest lake entirely within Chile. Frutillar, also known as the “City of Music,” was founded by Vicente Pérez Rosales in 1856, after German settlers arrived in the region. Explore the history of the area, including the efforts of Bernardo Philippi and President Manuel Montt, who played crucial roles in the German colonization of Southern Chile.
We’ll visit the local German Museum, where you’ll travel back in time through fascinating exhibits with your guide. Afterward, enjoy some free time to explore the town at your own pace. In the evening, return to your hotel in Puerto Varas for a free evening and overnight stay.
After breakfast, we’ll journey south, driving 130 kilometers to reach Pargua, where we’ll take a ferry across the Chacao Canal to the Isla Grande de Chiloé, Chile’s second-largest island. Our first stop will be Chacao, one of the island’s oldest villages, known for its colorful, picturesque architecture and historic church.
The Churches of Chiloé, made entirely of native timber, represent a unique architectural style and are a blend of European Jesuit influence and local traditions. These UNESCO World Heritage Sites, built to withstand the island’s humid climate, are a must-see.
Next, we’ll visit the town of Ancud, home to the Plaza de Armas, the Church, a vibrant crafts market, and the Fort San Antonio, a historic site with stunning views and fascinating stories of Chiloé’s myths and customs.
We’ll continue to Castro, the capital of Chiloé and Chile’s third-oldest city. Founded in 1576, Castro has a rich history, including surviving attacks by Dutch pirates and the devastating earthquake and tsunami of 1960. Here, we’ll visit the local church, another UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the famous Palafitos—wooden houses built on stilts over the water.
Our last stop will be Dalcahue, known for its traditional craft fair, where islanders bring their handmade goods for sale. We’ll also have time for lunch at a typical Chiloé restaurant before heading back to Puerto Varas in the evening for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, enjoy some free time in Puerto Varas before your transfer to the airport or local pier. If your departure is later in the day, take advantage of the optional activities available (see the list below).

Arrival at the Puerto Natales bus station or Punta Arenas Airport, followed by a transfer to your hotel in Puerto Natales. This charming city is situated at the opening of the Ultima Esperanza Sound, providing a perfect gateway to explore stunning destinations like Torres del Paine National Park and the Balmaceda and Serrano Glaciers. After check-in, you’ll have free time to stroll around the city or simply relax and prepare for the adventures ahead.
After breakfast, get ready for one of the best excursions Patagonia has to offer – a visit to Torres del Paine National Park!
We’ll begin by picking up all passengers from their accommodations at around 8:00 am, ready to capture the first stunning photos of the day.
Our first stop is Milodon’s Cave, where the remains of a prehistoric animal were discovered in 1895. Today, you’ll find a replica of this ancient mammal, along with fascinating information about the glaciological processes that shaped the cave.
Next, we head to Cerro Castillo, where you’ll enjoy a short break to grab a snack, sip some coffee, or browse the souvenir shops.
Then, it’s on to the breathtaking landscapes of Torres del Paine National Park! Highlights include the Sarmiento Lake Lookout, views of the Paine Towers, Paine’s Horns, and Almirante Nieto Hill. Keep an eye out for the local wildlife – you’re likely to spot guanacos, lesser rhea, and condors. The park is also home to foxes, hares, and the elusive mountain lion, also known as the “lion of America.”
Within the park, you’ll encounter the striking turquoise lakes of Pehoé and Nordenskjold, as well as scenic waterfalls and ice-covered mountains. A short 15-minute walk will bring you close to the impressive Salto Grande Waterfall.
After lunch, we’ll continue with a walk along the shores of Grey Lake, where you can admire floating icebergs and, in the distance, the mighty Grey Glacier. Depending on the group’s preferences, we’ll either return via the same route or take a new road before dropping you off at your accommodation. Free time and overnight.

Enjoy your final breakfast in Puerto Natales, followed by some free time before your transfer to the bus station or Punta Arenas Airport to continue your journey.

Passenger reception begins at 17:15 hrs, followed by a safety briefing about the vessel. Welcome aboard the Skorpios III Cruise, where you’ll embark on an unforgettable expedition through the southern channels and fjords of Patagonia. Departure from Puerto Natales is scheduled between 17:30 hrs and 18:00 hrs. We will start our journey sailing through Angostura Kirke, Morla, Vicuña, Unión, Collingwood, and Sarmiento channels. On this first day, relax and take in the views as we make our way to dinner aboard.
On our second day, we will reach Amalia Glacier around 08:00 hrs. After breakfast, be prepared as we approach the glacier for an extraordinary experience. First, we’ll enjoy a panoramic view from the ship. Around 09:30 hrs, we will disembark on a nearby beach to start a gentle hike, where you’ll learn about the local flora, fauna, and rocks, and reach a viewpoint to admire the stunning glacier.
Around 11:30 hrs, we will set sail towards El Brujo Glacier. If weather and ice conditions permit, passengers can disembark around 14:00 hrs to view this impressive glacier from a nearby rock.
At 15:30 hrs, we will sail to the magnificent Calvo Fjord. By 17:00 hrs, we will arrive and begin an excursion aboard the “Capitán Constantino” icebreaker, specially equipped for navigating icy waters. We will visit the Fernando, Capitán Constantino, and Alipio glaciers, among others. Around 20:00 hrs, we will head towards Montañas Fjord, concluding a full day of exploration. Prepare for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, around 09:00 hrs, we will visit Montañas Fjord, where you can see four magnificent glaciers descending from the Sarmiento Mountains to the sea, with two of them included in our route.
At approximately 09:30 hrs, we will visit Alsina Glacier. We will disembark to embark on a boat excursion to explore this small bay and its glacier, surrounded by towering mountains. By 10:30 hrs, we will return to the Skorpios III and continue sailing through Montañas Fjord towards Bernal Glacier.
At 11:15 hrs, we will disembark at Bernal Glacier for a gentle hike through a native forest, cross a stream, and walk over front and side moraines until we reach the glacier. Here, you can touch the ice and observe the iceberg melting. Prepare to see ice, ice, and more ice!
By 12:45 hrs, passengers will return to the ship, which will be collecting natural water from a cascade used for onboard services. At around 14:00 hrs, Skorpios III will continue sailing through Montañas Fjord, with views of Herman and Zamudio glaciers from the ship. Be ready for some incredible photo opportunities!
At approximately 17:45 hrs, we will arrive at White Angostura. We will disembark in our zodiacs to sail among islands and islets, enjoying the native flora and fauna. Around 19:00 hrs, we will return to the ship, with free time before the Captain’s Dinner at 21:00 hrs. Enjoy the farewell party with dinner, dancing, and navigation through Almirante Montt Gulf.
On our final day, we will arrive in Puerto Natales between 02:00 hrs and 07:00 hrs, depending on wind conditions, to dock at Skorpios Terminal.
Between 08:00 hrs and 09:30 hrs, after breakfast, passengers will be ready for disembarkation at Puerto Natales Terminal.
Note: The program and schedules may change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. Disembarkations will depend on the captain’s authorization, who will assess the safety and ice conditions at each location. Timings for lectures and activities will be provided during the cruise.
