With over 300 churches, one standout is the grand São Francisco Church. Experience Capoeira, a unique martial art that combines dance and combat. After breakfast, we’ll embark on a city tour. Our first stop will be Farol da Barra, known for its stunning views and as the starting point for one of Brazil’s best carnivals. Next, we’ll explore the historic center, including Pelourinho, a vibrant area perfect for photography. After some free time for lunch, we’ll visit the lower city to see the Lacerda Elevator, tie a ribbon at Bonfim Church, and shop for souvenirs at Mercado Modelo. This half-day tour will then return to the hotel, where you’ll have more free time to choose from the optional activities available.
After breakfast, enjoy a free day to explore Salvador at your own pace or select from our list of optional activities. You might choose to visit Morro do São Paulo, explore Chapada Diamantina, or take a boat trip to the tropical islands and Itaparica. More details are available in the list below.
