Manaus is located in the heart of the Amazon Forest, and it`s a modern city usually called the Paris of the Tropics. The city from the Rubber Booo, is full of beautiful buildings, built using fine materials imported from Europe. Once in the city, Amazonas’ Theater is the highlight, but of course the city is the gate to visit the incredible Amazonas.  Boats are the main transportation to the rainforest hotels; to see the meeting of waters between Negro and Solimoes rivers; to swim with Amazon River dolphins in Anavilhanas and to visit places such as Praia da Lua.
In Manaus, it rains almost every day and, but despite the rain, it is very hot place: the city is close to the equatorial line. Use light clothes and always bring an umbrella. Don´t forget to wear a hat and sunscreen! Are you ready to enjoy Manaos with RipioTurismo?
Welcome to Manaus! Upon arrival at Manaus Airport, you’ll be transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure—relax at the hotel or start exploring the city on your own.
After breakfast, we’ll depart from our selected hotels for a journey of 18 km to the port of Manaus, where our tour begins. Located in the heart of the city, we’ll start with a visit inside the port. Next, we’ll make a brief stop in front of the Black River Palace, the official seat of the State Government and a stunning example of Manaus’s golden period architecture.
Our next stop is the Indian Museum, run by the Salesian Congregation. This museum offers a fascinating insight into the traditions and customs of indigenous peoples, featuring a collection of over four thousand pieces from various tribes that have inhabited the region over the years. The exhibits include household utensils, musical instruments, ornaments, and weapons.
We’ll then take an external visit to the Amazon’s Palace of Justice, a building commissioned by Governor Eduardo Ribeiro. Inspired by French and neoclassical styles, this building has been repurposed as a cultural center.
Finally, we’ll visit the Amazon Theater, inaugurated in 1896, and one of Manaus’s main tourist attractions. This iconic theater symbolizes the city’s golden period before returning to your hotel.
After breakfast, we’ll leave our hotel and head to the Tropical Hotel pier, where we’ll board a speedboat to Lake Acajatuba. Here, you’ll have the chance to see and even feed the Amazon’s freshwater dolphins—a truly unique and unforgettable experience. These pink dolphins are known for their intelligence and friendliness, making your interaction with them even more special. During the return trip, enjoy the beautiful scenery along the banks of the Amazon River, with opportunities to spot various bird species and other wildlife. Return to the hotel.
Check out and transfer to the airport.
