Enjoy the conjunction with the Argentinian environment, assist in history classes, meet local students and local personalities…

These programs can be adjusted to each group’s needs, with more or fewer nights, or by arranging special visits oriented to learn more about history, or Spanish language, volunteering, or just meet local students. Specially designed for schools, high schools, universities, or just groups of people interested in the history and culture of Argentina and South America.

Itinerary

DAY 1 - BUENOS AIRES

Arrival to Buenos Aires

Our Tour Director will meet us at the airport. Our private coach will be waiting to transfer us to our hotel in Buenos Aires. Our accommodation for the next two nights will be in Buenos Aires. It is one of the largest cities in Latin America with a lot of cultural offerings. Inhabitants of Buenos Aires are called porteños, “people from the port.” We will take a comprehensive Buenos Aires City Tour, highlighting many of the important landmarks and buildings in the city, as well as the various neighborhoods including La Boca, San Telmo, and Palermo.

Dinner this evening is in the renovated dockside area of Puerto Madero where you can enjoy a buffet dinner of typical foods.

DAY 2 - BUENOS AIRES

Visiting the city

You will discover the beauty and magic of Buenos Aires. Starting from Colón Theatre we can see the symbolic Obelisco. Then you will visit PLAZA DE MAYO (Square): historical, political, and foundational epicenter. Metropolitan Cathedral, Government House, the Cabildo, and the Municipality. This journey continues southwards, walking along old-stoned streets of SAN TELMO: “Tango” neighborhood. Following the same direction, we arrive at La Boca neighborhood. There we find Boca Juniors Football Stadium, which is the maximum example of Argentina’s Passion: Football.

We will visit CAMINITO: the most tourist place of the area. Bordering the Riachuelo, our tour continues northwards, visiting the old port we can notice how the physiognomy of the city changes. PUERTO MADERO: panoramic view. In Retiro / San Martín Square, we connect with Libertador Ave. and we enter the north of Buenos Aires City. We will visit Palermo, which is a residential neighborhood with parks and elegant buildings. San Martiniano Institute, embassies, museums, and significant monuments. Lastly, we arrive at the region known as Bosques (Woods): El Rosedal, Carta Magna, and “Cuatro Regiones de Argentina” Monument and the Zoo.

In the afternoon, we will stop in El Tortoni Cafe, where a professor will meet us to explain Tango and its different styles.

In the evening, we will enjoy a wonderful dinner tango show in La Ventana, one of the most wonderful shows in the city. Previously, we will take a tango lesson, to learn the first steps in this unique dance.

Visit Tigre - Buenos Aires

DAY 3 - BUENOS AIRES

Enjoying Parana Delta and Tigre

We journey just north of the city to explore the Parana River Delta and extraordinary ecological zone. We will board the Tren de la Costa along with the Rio de la Plata coast. The San Isidro courts were witness to one of the most public adoption cases the Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo pursued against media mogul Ernestina Noble de Herrera. A short walk around the town takes us to the San Isidoro Cathedral before returning to the train which will depart for Tigre Delta, the world’s largest and only delta that does not end at an ocean or sea. Upon arrival at Tigre, we will take in the natural scene and crafts at the Fruit Dock in Tigre, where we may see some fruit in the process of exportation. Our tour of the Delta also includes a ride on a riverboat to better see how people turned the swampy delta into modern/developed land and freshwater canals. Our guide will point out native birds and flora along the way. Return to hotel. Dinner included in a local restaurant.

DAY 4 - BUENOS AIRES

Visiting the Pampas

Today we will enjoy an excursion to the Pampas and visit a typical “Estancia” or farm. The Pampas is one of the most important economical areas in Argentina, flat, windy grasslands where plants and animals survive through adaptation. On the Estancia, the gaucho traditions are kept alive and we will spend the day in the countryside gaining a newfound understanding of a typical Argentine ranch. On arrival, we will visit the Estancia House (museum) before sampling local homemade empanada pastries. Enjoy a typical Asado lunch. We will also enjoy a Gaucho Dance and Music Show, followed by viewing the gaucho’s skills on their horses as we view Cuadreras and Ring Races. We may also observe ways that farming and ranch life have affected the natural habitat. This evening, dinner will be provided in a local restaurant.

DAY 5 - BUENOS AIRES

Walking tour and Museum Carlos Gardel

This morning our walking tour starts from Hotel. During the historic walking tour, we will bring you to three different neighborhoods related to the history of tango: La Boca, San Telmo, and Abasto. You will visit various sites such as Caminito, Plaza Dorrego, El Viejo Almacen and El Museo de Carlos Gardel. Live music and dancing is often seen on this tour, however, it is not guaranteed.
In the afternoon, we will visit Carlos Gardel Museum to enjoy and know more about Carlos Gardel life, and we will have an open class with the director in the museum.

DAY 6 - BUENOS AIRES

Meet local students and farewell dinner

This morning we will do Volunteer Work at a Local School. We will visit a local school where we will have the opportunity to teach and read to students, play games with students. Enjoy lunch with the students at the local school. Return to the city for a visit with students at Instituto Cultural Argentino-Norteamericano (ICANA), and interact with Argentine students learning English, as we are studying Spanish and Latin America’s culture.

DAY 7 - BUENOS AIRES

Goodbye Buenos Aires

After breakfst, check out and free time until transfer to Ezeiza Int Airport to take flight back to home.
