BUENOS AIRES

Welcome to BA!

Arrival at Ezeiza International Airport. Reception and transfer to hotel in Buenos Aires. 03 nights of accommodation with breakfast.

DAY 2 - BUENOS AIRES

Visiting the city

In the morning, Tradicional City Tour visiting the best of Buenos Aires: La Boca, San Telmo, 9 de Julio Avenue and the Obelisk, Puerto Madero, Corrientes Avenue, Colón Theatre, Recoleta.

In the afternoon, we will visit the Cathedral, the neighborhood where Francisco born, and the most interesting points related to the Pope.

 

SEP: We will meet with a local priest who knows Francisco and will chat with them

 

DAY 3 - BUENOS AIRES

Visiting Lujan

After breakfast, In the morning, start an excursion to Lujan, to visit the famous Basilica de Lujan, to visit one of the most important Gotic Churches of Argentina.

The Minor Basilica of Our Lady of Luján (Spanish: Basílica Menor de Nuestra Señora de Luján) is a Roman Catholic church built in Neogothic style and dedicated to Our Lady of Luján, patron saint of Argentina. Many people mistake this temple for a cathedral. Actually, it is part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Mercedes-Luján, whose see is located at the Cathedral Basilica of Mercedes-Luján in the neighboring city of Mercedes. It´s an important church for the people, a traditional place for Catholics.

Return to the hotel in the afternoon and free time.

In the evening we will enjoy a wonderful dinner tango show in a very traditional place in Buenos Aires

DAY 4 - BUENOS AIRES to CORDOBA

Visiting Cordoba

After breakfast, transfer to the airport to take a flight to Cordoba City. Arrival and transfer to hotel. 3 nights of accommodation with breakfast.

Cordoba is a city in central Argentina, in the foothills of the Sierras Chicas on the Suquía River, about 700 km (435 mi) northwest of Buenos Aires. It is the capital of Córdoba Province and the second-most populous city in Argentina after Buenos Aires, with about 1.3 million inhabitants according to the 2010 census. It was founded on 6 July 1573 by Jerónimo Luis de Cabrera, who named it after Córdoba, Spain. It was one of the early Spanish colonial capitals of the region that is now Argentina (the oldest city is Santiago del Estero, founded in 1553). The National University of Córdoba is the oldest university in the country and the seventh to be inaugurated in Spanish America. It was founded in 1613 by the Jesuit Order. Because of this, Córdoba earned the nickname La Docta (“the learned”).

Free time to explore the city at your own or just relax. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 5 - CORDOBA

Enjoy the history of the jesuits in Cordoba

After breakfast, we will start a half-day city tour visiting the most interesting points of Cordoba, the third most important city of Argentina, capital of the Province of Cordoba. We will visit the block declared by Unesco as Historical World Heritage. This block of buildings is composed of different Jesuits buildings like Montserrat National College, the Society of Jesus Church, and the ancient University of Cordoba.

DAY 6 - CORDOBA

Jesuits Estancias

After breakfast, we start an amazing full-day trip to visit La Ruta de las Estancias Jseuitass (the way of the Jesuits Farms). The town Jesus Maria, 48 km north of Cordoba city, is home to one of the finest Jesuit Estancias in the province.

The estancias were built in 1618 as a Jesuit settlement, making wine to support their university in colonial Cordoba. We will also visit the Amphitheatre of Taming and Folklore, the Caroya Colony, the church, and finally reach the Estancias Santa Catalina. We stop at the Chapel of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and continue south to the National Historical Monument, Chapel of Candonga which dates back to 1730. Crossing through El Manzano Salsipuedes and Rio Ceballos, we make our way back to Cordoba.

Return to the hotel and dinner.

DAY 7 - CORDOBA to IGUAZU

Arriving to Puerto Iguazu

After breakfast, transfer to Airport to take a flight to Iguazu Falls. Arrival and transfer to hotel. 3 nights of accommodation with breakfast. Puerto Iguazu is the gate to visit one of the most incredible natural places in South America. The Iguazu Falls, declared recently as one of the new 7-wonders of nature and Unesco World Heritage. From Iguazu, we can visit the San Ignacio Mini, the Jesuit Ruins in Misiones Province.

Free time for relaxing at the pool.

DAY 8 - IGUAZU FALLS

Visiting the incredible Iguazu Falls

After breakfast, we will start a full-day trip to Iguazu Falls Argentinean Side. The park offers up to 8 km of trails to enjoy the falls in three different circuits: Upper Circuit, Lower Circuit and Trail to the Devil´s Throat with Ecological Train of the Jungle. Iguazu Falls is a wonderful natural place, declared recently as one of the new 7-wonders of nature. Then, return to the city to meet a local aborigins in the school and make a volunteering work.

The Route of the Jesuits - San Ignacio Ruins

DAY 9 - IGUAZU FALLS

Visiting San Ignacio Mini Ruins

After breakfast, we start a full day trip to visit the Jesuit Ruins of San Ignacio Minì, located 60 km from the Capital City of Misiones called Posadas

San Ignacio Miní was one of the many missions founded in 1610 in Argentina, by the Jesuits in what the colonial Spaniards called the Province of Paraguay of the Americas during the Spanish colonial period. It is located near present-day San Ignacio valley, some 60 km north of Posadas, Misiones Province, Argentina. In 1984 it was one of four reductions in Argentina to be designated by UNESCO as World Heritage Sites.

Then, return to Puerto Iguazu and dinner in the hotel.

DAY 10 - IGUAZU FALLS

Goodbye incredible nature!

After breakfast, transfer to Airport to take a flight to Buenos Aires to catch our international flight back to home.
