Lima, Cusco, Machu Picchu, Puno, Titicaca Lake & La Paz in 9 nights!

Enjoy a complete 9-night program to visit Lima, the capital city of Peru. This is the commercial and financial heart of Peru and one of the most populated cities in South America. In Lima, we will discover different neighborhoods, like San Isidro and Miraflores. Enjoy the Larco Museum, with more than 45.000 pieces relative to the Inca Empire. then, we will go to Cusco, to visit the first capital of Peru and full of history and great colonial architecture. The Sacred Valley of the Incas is the next destination, a green valley full of small villages and ancient ruins. In Sacred Valley, we will visit Maras, Moray, Ollantaytambo, Pisac and more. Then, we will go to Machu Picchu, the Inca citadel discovered in 1911 by Hiran Bingham. This is a real highlight, and a must-see when you travel to South America. Be ready to take hundred of photos of this incredible place. Our next stop is Puno, gate to visit the Titicaca Lake, the highest lake on earth that can be navigated. Once there, we will visit Uros and Taquile Islands. Finally, we will cross the Titicaca on the way to La Paz, visiting the Isla del Sol (Island of the Sun). We arrive to La Paz, located 3640 meters above sea level. In La Paz, we will visit the city and the Moon Valley.

Day 1

LIMA: Arrival to the capital city

Welcome to Lima and Peru! Upon your arrival at the international airport, you’ll be transferred to your hotel. Enjoy some free time to explore the city on your own or choose from the optional activities listed below.

Day 2

LIMA: city tour and Larco Museum

After breakfast, we will explore both the modern and colonial areas of Lima, known as the City of the Kings. Our tour begins in the districts of Miraflores and San Isidro, where you’ll get a panoramic view of the impressive Huaca Huallamarca.

Next, we’ll head to the Historical Center to visit the Convent of Santo Domingo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where the remains of our patron saints, San Martín de Porres and Santa Rosa de Lima, are interred.

We will then continue to the Plaza Mayor, surrounded by the Government Palace, the Archbishop’s Palace, the Municipality, and the Cathedral. To cap off the tour, we’ll enjoy a tasting of the classic Pisco Sour! Afterward, we’ll visit the Larco Museum, which boasts a remarkable private collection of Treasures of Ancient Peru. Discover over 5,000 years of history through more than 45,000 pieces—truly amazing! Following the museum visit, you’ll return to the hotel for some free time. You can also choose from the optional activities listed below.

LIMA: good bye!

After breakfast, you’ll have free time until your transfer to the airport. If you have extra time, check out our optional activities below to make the most of your visit today.

CUSCO: Arrival and visit the city

Upon arrival, check in to your hotel in Cusco. If you arrive in the morning, enjoy some free time to rest. In the afternoon, we’ll embark on a half-day tour of the incredible city of Cusco. We’ll explore notable sites, including the Korikancha Temple, the local Cathedral, and the ruins of Sacsayhuamán, Kenko, and Puca-Pucará.

This visit offers a glimpse into the imperial city, a vibrant blend of Andean and Spanish cultures. Our tour begins at the Koricancha Temple, an ancient Inca palace and main center for Sun God worship. Be prepared for fantastic photo opportunities! Next, we’ll visit the Plaza de Armas and the Cathedral. We’ll make a stop at the Mirador San Cristóbal for a stunning view of the city before continuing to the Sacsayhuamán Fortress, a remarkable example of Inca military architecture that overlooks the city. We’ll then explore the archaeological sites of Kenko and enjoy panoramic views of the Puca-Pucara complex. Finally, we’ll visit the Inka’s Expression art workshop, where you can see artists working with silver, paint, and wood—an ideal way to understand Andean art.

Return to the hotel for some free time to relax. Overnight stay in Cusco.

Day 4

CUSCO-SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS: Ollantaytambo and Racchi

After breakfast, we’ll continue our exploration of the area. We’ll start with a visit to Chinchero, a charming town known for its significant Inca archaeological site and beautiful traditional church. Enjoy some free time to soak in the unique atmosphere.

Next, we’ll head towards Ollantaytambo, stopping at the Racchi viewpoint for breathtaking views of the Sacred Valley. Afterward, enjoy some free time for lunch, where you can savor traditional dishes and perhaps try a pisco!

We’ll then continue to Ollantaytambo, renowned for its impressive architectural complex and historical significance. Known for its terraces, Ollantaytambo was a formidable fortress and temple. Finally, we’ll explore the town of Ollantaytambo, often called “the only living Inca city,” which showcases exemplary Inca urban planning with its stone streets that have been inhabited since the 12th century.

Day 5

SACRED VALLEY - MACHU PICCHU: Visiting a unique place on earth

After breakfast, prepare for one of Peru’s and South America’s most incredible experiences: a visit to Machu Picchu. Early in the morning, we’ll transfer you to the train station for your journey to Aguas Calientes. From there, you’ll ascend to Machu Picchu, where you’ll have the chance to explore one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Accompanied by an expert guide, you’ll discover the citadel’s stunning corners and enjoy free time to explore on your own.

At the designated time, you’ll descend to Aguas Calientes and board the return train to Cusco, passing through Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival in Cusco, you’ll be transferred to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 6

CUSCO: Good bye Cusco, Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu!

After breakfast, enjoy some free time until your transfer to the bus station or airport.

CUSCO to PUNO: the incredible route to Puno

After breakfast, you’ll transfer to the bus station to begin your journey to Puno. Enjoy the stunning landscapes of the Southern Valley of Cusco along the way. Your first stop is Andahuaylillas, where you’ll visit a beautiful 17th-century church, renowned for its impressive organ adorned with angels and cherubs. Next, explore the ruins of Raqchi, also known as “The Temple of Wiracocha,” which served various purposes across its different areas. Following this visit, savor a delicious buffet lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, head to the archaeological site of Puca-Pucara, a military and administrative center. Finally, arrive in Puno and transfer to your hotel.

Day 7

TITICACA LAKE: Visiting Uros and Taquile Islands

After breakfast, embark on a morning tour to the unique Lake Titicaca. First, visit Taquile Island, where the welcoming community preserves its traditional customs, colorful clothing, and artisanal skills. The islanders produce intricate crafts using techniques passed down through generations. Next, explore the floating islands of the Uros, also known as the Town of the Lake. These islands, built from layers of totora reeds, serve as homes and trading centers for the Uros people, who navigate in hand-built rafts. Lake Titicaca is not only the largest lake in the Andes but also the highest navigable lake in the world.

Day 8

PUNO: Good bye Puno!

After breakfast, enjoy some free time until your transfer to the airport or bus station.

PUNO to LA PAZ: Isla del Sol

After an early breakfast, you’ll begin your day with a scenic road transfer to the Sanctuary of Copacabana, where you’ll board a catamaran cruise. As you sail towards Isla del Sol, the birthplace of the Inca Empire, enjoy a snack on board. Upon arriving at this legendary island, you’ll explore the Garden, the Inca Stairs, and the Inca Fountain.

Next, the itinerary takes you to the Inti Wata Cultural Complex, Bolivia’s premier private tourist attraction. Here, you’ll discover the Ekako underground museum, centers dedicated to traditional medicine and the construction of totora reed rafts, the Pachamama terraces showcasing Inca agriculture, an artisan center, the Intica refuge, and the largest collection of Andean camelids at the Manco Kapac viewpoint. The visit also includes a ride on an enormous totora raft and a panoramic view of the Inca palace of Pilkokaina.

Afterward, you’ll reboard the catamaran and sail back to Copacabana, enjoying a buffet lunch on board. Upon arrival, you’ll take a bus for a road transfer back to La Paz.

Day 9

LA PAZ: Visiting the city

After breakfast, embark on a half-day city tour to explore the highlights of La Paz, Bolivia’s vibrant capital.

Day 10

Good bye Bolivia!

After breakfast, enjoy some free time before your transfer to La Paz Airport.
