  • Humahuaca Canyon (Jujuy): A UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its colorful hills, traditional villages, and historical landmarks. You’ll pass through:

    • Purmamarca and the Hill of Seven Colors

    • Tilcara and the Pucará ruins

    • Humahuaca and Huacalera

  • Train to the Clouds: A unique railway experience reaching over 4,200 meters above sea level at La Polvorilla Viaduct. One of the most breathtaking adventures you can take from Salta.

When to Visit Salta, Jujuy and the Northwest?

This region is a must-see in Argentina, filled with colorful scenery, rich culture, and plenty to do year-round. But let’s break down the best time to go.

Weather Overview:

  • Temperatures are pleasant most of the year.

  • Best time to visit: April to October (dry season)

  • Rainy season: November to March, with 10–16 rainy days per month

If you’re looking to avoid rain and enjoy sunny days, aim for April to September. But honestly, Salta and the Northwest can be enjoyed year-round.

And what about the rain? Well, the best season in order to avoid rains is April/May to October. During November to March, you may experience the most amount of rainy days.  Check the image below:
