How to get to Ibera Wetlands?

Ibera Wetlands is the second marshlands in the world, beaten only by the first which is Pantanal in Brazil. And it`s a wonderful plae for the fascinating fauna you can see there. Now, how to get Ibera Wetlands? Well, the primary gate to explore the marshes is Colonia Carlos Pellegrini, a small town full of estancias and lodges. How getting there? Arriving to Ibera Wetlands by land

You can arrive to Colonia Carlos Pellegrini by land. Travelers decide to arrive by taking a long distance bus from Buenos Aires to the city of Mercedes, then jumping on the next two-hour connection to Carlos Pellegrini. It`s a good option if you want to arrive from Buenos Aires for example. Distance from Buenos Aires is 835 km, so an overnight bus would be a great idea. You also can arrive by car.

Arriving to Ibera Wetlands by air

You can fly to Posadas, the closest airport. From there, you can take a transfer to arrive to the wetlands. You also can arrive to Corrientes Airport, and again take a transfer to Colonia Carlos Pellegrini. The lodges in the area of Ibera will offer the transfer service.
