Take the cable cars up Sugarloaf Mountain after eating at a steakhouse for lunch.
Drive to the Christ the Redeemer Statue on Corcovado Mountain, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, after being picked up from your Rio hotel. The journey is brief and picturesque, passing through the Tijuca Forest, one of the biggest urban forests in the world before spectacular views of the entire city becomes visible.
When you’re back at sea level, pass the historic Maracanã soccer stadium on your way to Sambódromo, Rio’s vibrant Carnaval site. Visit the distinctive Metropolitan Cathedral, a state-of-the-art building inspired by Mayan pyramids. Check out the Selarón Steps, one of Rio’s most recognizable sights, with its brilliantly colored tiles. After that, go for a fantastic BBQ lunch at a local steakhouse.
