Shore Excursion - Christ the Redeemer, Sugarloaf and Copacab
Drive to the Christ the Redeemer Statue, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, which is perched atop Corcovado Mountain after being picked up from the Cruise Terminal Pier Mauá. The drive is brief and scenic, passing through the Tijuca Forest, one of the biggest urban forests in the world, before spectacular views of the entire city becomes visible. Afterward, go along Copacabana Beach‘s edge to obtain a panoramic view of one of Brazil’s most famous beaches. Take a final trip to Sugarloaf Mountain, located in the Urca neighborhood. Take a ride on 2 cable cars to the summit, stopping first at Urca Hill and then continuing to the top of Sugarloaf, which is 1,295 feet high (395 m). Finish the excursion by admiring Rio de Janeiro’s breathtaking panorama. Go back to Pier Mauá at the cruise terminal. Includes a lunch stop at a Brazilian steakhouse (according to the tour option).
