One attractive place in Patagonia is the Lakes District. There are several flights from Santiago to Puerto Montt Airport, and from there (and also from Puerto Varas where you can stay too), you can visit the wonderful area full of national parks, lakes, forests, volcanoes, famous mountains and unique landscapes.
