A Journey into Nature and Local Traditions
Upon arrival at La Lorenza, your journey begins with a guided walk through lush forest trails, home to diverse plant and bird species. This interpretative hike offers insight into the natural processes shaping the jungle, including pollination, seed dispersion, and plant symbiosis.
Next, you’ll delve into Argentine culture with a hands-on yerba mate workshop. Around a bonfire or in a traditional house (depending on the weather), you’ll prepare mate following ancient Guarani methods—harvesting the plant, drying it with fire, grinding the leaves, and learning the history and social rituals surrounding this iconic beverage.
To close the experience, enjoy a delicious homemade lunch (AM) or early dinner (PM) on a private porch with panoramic views of the Paraná River, accompanied by a warm conversation with the hosts of La Lorenza.

PLAN B POLICY
In case of storms with electrical activity or heavy rainfall that jeopardize the safety of individuals, and in the event of environmental conditions that prevent navigation on the river:
At La Lorenza, we do not cancel excursions due to rain. We are located in an eco-region called the Atlantic Rainforest, meaning intermittent rainfall occurs frequently, providing the jungle with renewed vitality.
For excursions involving the river, we wait for the rain to pass or proceed with rain ponchos. However, if we receive an alert for electrical activity from the Coast Guard or if there is heavy rainfall that puts people’s lives at risk, we will suspend the river activity for safety reasons. The activity will be replaced by the “La Lorenza Jungle and Culture” excursion (mate experience) on solid ground as a Plan B.
Plan B is also applied in case of environmental phenomena (e.g., rising or lowering river levels) that prevent navigation on the river.
After booking and finalizing payment, you will receive a confirmation for your purchase. Then, in less than 24 hours, you will receive the voucher that you can use to take the excursions.
If the reservation is for the next day, we will be attentive and we will send you the voucher before your excursion begins.
It’s recommended to bring closed shoes, long pants, insect repellent, and a reusable water bottle. Please also bring your passport/ID.
No, transfers to La Lorenza are not included in the excursion. It’s a 50-minute drive from Iguazu, but transfers can be added during the booking process.
Just complete the booking form. When you finish will be redirected to Paypal where you can pay the tour. You can pay without an account and with your credit card. 
Once you’ve completed your booking and payment, you’ll receive a confirmation of your purchase. Within 24 hours, you’ll receive the voucher you’ll need to participate in the excursions.
