The Birdman Journey – Half-Day Tour
The tour begins with departure from Hanga Roa at approximately 9:30 AM. The first stop is Mataveri Otai, an area that provides insight into the island’s geography and surroundings.
The journey continues to the viewpoint of the Rano Kau volcano, where you can appreciate one of the island’s most impressive natural formations. From there, the tour visits the ceremonial village of Orongo, a key site connected to the Birdman tradition, located on the edge of the crater.
Finally, the experience concludes at the ruins of Vinapu, known for their distinctive stonework. The tour ends around 1:30 PM, with return to your accommodation.

No specific age restrictions are indicated for this tour. Due to its easy difficulty level, it is suitable for most travelers.
This tour is not suitable for people with reduced mobility, as it involves visiting outdoor sites and areas with uneven terrain.
Free cancellation up to 30 days before arrival in Rapa Nui. Cancellations made between 29 and 15 days before arrival incur a 50% charge. Cancellations made within 14 days of arrival incur a 100% charge.
After booking and finalizing payment, you will receive a confirmation for your purchase. Then, in less than 24 hours, you will receive the voucher that you can use to take the excursions.
If the reservation is for the next day, we will be attentive and we will send you the voucher before your excursion begins.
The tour operates on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Once you’ve completed your booking and payment, you’ll receive a confirmation of your purchase. Within 24 hours, you’ll receive the voucher you’ll need to participate in the excursions.
