For a once-in-a-lifetime sailboat experience, board at Marina da Glória. Up to 11 people can travel on a private tour at one time. The journey takes three hours, during which the captain will share facts and stories about Rio de Janeiro and its adjacent city Niterói.
Take in the stunning views of Rio de Janeiro from the water. One of the attractions you will see on the route is Christ the Redeemer, located atop Corcovado Mountain. See yet another iconic city attraction within walking distance, the Sugarloaf Mountain.
Sail to Niterói through Guanabara Bay, passing the forts of São João and Santa Cruz da Barra, the beaches of Icara, Charitas, and Jurujuba, and the city’s most iconic building, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Niterói, which was created by one of the nation’s best architects, Oscar Niemeyer.
