Arriving to Puerto Madryn by air

If you arrive to the area by air, you will reach the airport in Trelew, one of the most important cities in Chubut province. Trelew is located 60 km from Puerto Madryn, and offers a modern international airport, with regular flights from several companies in Argentina. The airport at Puerto Madryn is smaller, with a low amount of traffic, so it`s not an important option.

 

Arriving to Puerto Madryn by land

For people interested in arriving to Puerto Madryn and Peninsula Valdes area by car, the national route N° 3 is the way if you`re coming from Buenos Aires or the north of the country. In the Province of Chubut this route goes very near the coast, and this fact allows a fast and easy ride to the different beaches and villages. Puerto Madryn is located 1389 km from Buenos Aires city and 1800 km from Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world. Of course, there are also regular buses that arrives to Puerto Madryn bus station.

You can arrive to Puerto Madryn in a cruise. The pier is one of the most visited in Patagonia, after Ushuaia. People from around the world arrives to the area to visit the incredible sea life you can find in Peninsula Valdes.
