Visiting Iguazu Falls with a Disability: Accessibility Guide
Iguazu Falls is not only one of the most breathtaking places in the world—it’s also one of the most accessible. The National Park welcomes everyone with a clear mission: “Nature without barriers.” Whether you use a wheelchair or have a visual or hearing disability, you’ll find the park equipped to offer you a safe and enriching experience.
Accessibility in Iguazu Falls National Park
Over 90% of the trails are fully accessible, and all major routes have been adapted to support visitors with different needs. From wheelchairs available at no cost, to inclusive signage and accessible restrooms, the park is constantly improving its infrastructure to ensure barrier-free access.
Here’s what you’ll find:
-
Free wheelchair rentals at Cataratas and Devil’s Throat stations
-
Ramps and level access to all concession buildings and stations
-
Accessible bathrooms with space for wheelchair rotation, double grab bars, and low sinks
-
Safe pavement and anti-slip surfaces throughout the waterfalls area
-
Uniform flooring inside and outside buildings for easy movement
Accessible Trails and Circuits
The Iguazu Falls park trails are thoughtfully designed for people with disabilities, offering smooth surfaces, gentle slopes, and adapted railings.
-
Devil’s Throat Trail: Fully accessible
-
Upper Circuit: 100% accessible
-
Lower Circuit: 90% accessible via wheelchair, with ramp access to Dos Hermanas Square. An electric cart (like a golf cart) can assist in reaching the starting point

Transportation Inside the Park
The Ecological Jungle Train, which runs on Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), is specially designed to be wheelchair-accessible. Each train car has reserved spaces for wheelchairs, with secure, non-slip flooring.
Other accessible transportation services include:

Electric carts at the park entrance (to avoid walking 400 meters to the train) and at Cataratas Station (to reach the Upper and Lower Circuits)
-
Free adapted wheelchairs, available at busy spots and station entrances
-
Staff assistance to help with boarding and transfers if needed
Additional Services for Visitors with Disabilities
