How to get to Iguazu Falls in Argentina and Brazil?
Iguazu Falls are an amazing place in South America, a must-see. Of course, you can arrive by land or plane, but if you`re an international traveller, I`m sure you will take a 1-hour flight from Bueons Aires or Sao Paulo/Rio de Janeiro if you came from Brazil. Arriving to Iguazu Falls by air
There are two possible airports to fly and reach the incredible Iguazu Falls. If you fly from Buenos Aires, you can arrive to Puerto Iguazu, but if you`re flying from Sao Paulo or Rio de Janeiro, the arrival city will be Foz do Iguaçu. So, you can choose between Foz do Iguaçu Airport (IGU) on the Brazilian side and Puerto Iguazu (IGR) on the Argentine side. Both are nearby the Iguazu Falls and there are between 8-9 flights per day, arriving to IGU and IGR airports.
Arriving to Iguazu Falls by land.
You can arrive by land to the area of Iguazu Falls, from Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina. Of course, by car or by any of the bus services available. Most of the buses to Iguazu from Buenos Aires are fairly similar in price. The trip takes between 16 and 18 hours in total. Long distance buses in Argentine are comfortable if you purchase a ‘cama‘ or ‘semicama‘ seat which recline way back. They also provide meals and movies. A good idea is to take a “coche cama” and overnight in the bus, arriving to Iguazu the next morning.
