What`s the best time to visit Argentina?

Well, Argentina is in the southern hemisphere, so summer goes from december to march, and winter from june to september. Now, the best time depends on the destination you want to visit in Argentina. If you will be focused in Patagonia for example, the best time is spring and summer, due to daylight time, weather, and air frequencies. So, for Patagonia, the best time probably is from October to March, with shoulder season in April and September which are less crowded but also good. Of course, in Patagonia, you will find some winter centers, like the ski centers of Bariloche, Ushuaia, and San Martin de los Andes. So, if you`re looking for winter sport, your season would be june, july, and august. If you`re traveling to Salta, Mendoza, Iguazu Falls… well there is not a better time, it`s all the year. Is it safe to travel to Argentina?

Yes, definitely yes. Of course, in big cities like Buenos Aires, you have taken some precautions, as usual: don`t go alone at night, don`t venture into less desirable areas, don`t flash money, jewelry, watches, cameras… The normal precautions. The areas of Patagonia, Mendoza, the northwest, and Iguazu Falls are very safe.

 

Which documents do I need to enter to Argentina?

Well… passport, and you have to check if VISA is required or not. For  US Travellers, and most European countries, the visa is not required. Check with your local embassy to see if you need a visa to enter Argentina.
