Lakes Crossing (Andean Crossing to Chile) – Full Day

We invite you to travel the route that more than four years ago Huilliches, indigenous to the south of Chile, used as a trade route, and subsequently occupied the Jesuits of Chiloé to found the missions in the Nahuel Huapi region. Today, after four centuries of history, we invite you to “Browse the Andes”, located in the zone of the Andean Lakes and Volcanoes, an area that houses on their land two major national parks: Nahuel Huapi in Argentina and Vicente Perez Rosales on the Chilean side, members of the global network of biosphere reserve. The journey lake and land alternating sections being able to make from Bariloche to Puerto Varas as vice versa. There is the possibility to sleep in Peulla (Chile) and thus complete the trip in more than a day.

The journey begins in Puerto Pañuelo . Navigating through the hills to the heart of the mountains you will reach Puerto Blest . Then, walking on a road bus 3 kilometers which borders the Frías River, reaches Pto. Alegre, among dense vegetation of the rainforest. There, for about 20 minutes sailing the green waters of Lake Felix Frias to reach Puerto Frias, while the views of the high peaks of Cerro Tronador and the flight of the condors impress with its beauty. Arriving at Puerto Frias immigration procedures are performed. Then the bus that crosses the mountains on a road by lush vegetation in the Valdivian jungle to reach Peulla, the first Chilean population, completing the immigration and customs formalities and then lunch is taken. Later, Lake Todos los Santos to Petrohué browsing. There, returning to the land of Petrohue Falls visit and finally, bordering Lake Llanquihue reach the city of Puerto Varas where the journey ends.
