Itinerary

The tour begins with departure from Hanga Roa at approximately 3:00 PM. From there, you will visit Ahu Uri a Urenga, an important ceremonial platform known for its unique structure.

The journey continues to Puna Pau, the quarry where the red scoria stone used for the Moai topknots was sourced. Next, you will explore Ahu Akivi, one of the few platforms with Moai facing the ocean, adding a distinctive perspective to the island’s heritage.

Finally, the tour visits the ceremonial complex of Tahai, a restored site that combines history, archaeology, and scenic coastal views. The excursion concludes around 6:00 PM, with return to your accommodation.

Is this tour available on Dec 24, 25, 31, or Jan 1?

Yes, regular excursions operate on December 24, 25, and 31. However, no excursion services will be available on January 1, 2027.

Does this tour have any age restrictions?

Our excursions are suitable for passengers of all ages, with no specific age restrictions.

Is this tour available for people with reduced mobility?

Several areas of Rapa Nui National Park are accessible to wheelchair users. However, some sites have uneven trails where wheelchair access may not be possible or recommended. The park has a special wheelchair available mainly for Rano Raraku, Ahu Tongariki, and Orongo Village. It must be requested in advance and is subject to availability.

What are your cancellation policies?

Free cancellation up to 30 days before arrival in Rapa Nui. Cancellations made between 29 and 15 days before arrival incur a 50% charge. Cancellations made within 14 days of arrival incur a 100% charge.

What happens after booking?

After booking and finalizing payment, you will receive a confirmation for your purchase. Then, in less than 24 hours, you will receive the voucher that you can use to take the excursions.

If the reservation is for the next day, we will be attentive and we will send you the voucher before your excursion begins.
