This half-day horseback riding experience takes you to the summit of Maunga Terevaka, the highest point on Easter Island. Designed for all ages, it combines nature, scenic views, and a relaxed outdoor activity.
With no previous riding experience required, this excursion is ideal for families and travelers looking to explore the island from a unique perspective.
Half-Day Horseback Riding – Terevaka Summit
The experience begins with pick-up from your hotel and transfer to the stable. After receiving your horse and the necessary riding equipment, the journey begins toward Maunga Terevaka.
The ride follows a natural route, ascending gradually through the island’s landscapes. After approximately two hours of ascent, you will reach the summit area, where both Rano Aroi and Maunga Terevaka rise above 500 meters, offering panoramic views of the entire island surrounded by the Pacific Ocean.
After enjoying the scenery and taking in the views, the ride continues back down to the stable. The experience concludes with transfer back to your accommodation.

Yes, regular excursions operate on December 24, 25, and 31. However, no excursion services will be available on January 1, 2027.
Our excursions are suitable for passengers of all ages, with no specific age restrictions.
Free cancellation up to 30 days before arrival in Rapa Nui. Cancellations made between 29 and 15 days before arrival incur a 50% charge. Cancellations made within 14 days of arrival incur a 100% charge.
After booking and finalizing payment, you will receive a confirmation for your purchase. Then, in less than 24 hours, you will receive the voucher that you can use to take the excursions.
If the reservation is for the next day, we will be attentive and we will send you the voucher before your excursion begins.
No previous experience is required. The activity is suitable for all ages.
A minimum of 2 participants is required.

Once you’ve completed your booking and payment, you’ll receive a confirmation of your purchase. Within 24 hours, you’ll receive the voucher you’ll need to participate in the excursions.
If you’ve booked an excursion for the following day, don’t worry. We’ll make sure to send you the voucher before the excursion begins.
