The tour begins with hotel pick-up in La Serena or Coquimbo, followed by a drive north toward La Silla Observatory, located in a remote mountainous region known for its favorable conditions for astronomical observation.
Upon arrival at the observatory, visitors are welcomed and introduced to the experience by a specialized astronomy guide. During the guided visit, participants explore several areas of the observatory and learn about the technology and research methods used by astronomers.
Throughout the visit there is also time to appreciate the panoramic views of the surrounding hills and desert environment, which characterize the La Silla area.
After completing the guided tour, transportation returns travelers to La Serena or Coquimbo, concluding the excursion with hotel drop-off.

Warm clothing, sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses are recommended, as weather conditions may vary during the visit.
