The excursion begins with hotel pick-up in La Serena or Coquimbo, followed by a drive south toward Fray Jorge National Park, home to the only hydrophilic forest in the Coquimbo Region.
At the park, visitors take part in a guided walk of just over one kilometer, exploring a forest environment similar to a Valdivian-type ecosystem that exists alongside a semi-arid landscape, creating a distinctive natural contrast.
After visiting the park, the journey continues to the colonial village of Barraza, a town that preserves architectural and cultural elements dating back to the 19th century. Here, participants enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, known for its traditional cuisine and relaxed atmosphere.
In the afternoon, the tour continues to the Valle del Encanto Natural Monument, an archaeological site known for its petrogliphs, pictographs, and cup stones, as well as remains associated with pre-Hispanic cultures such as the Molle culture, with evidence of human presence dating back to around 2000 BC.
After exploring the site, the tour returns to La Serena or Coquimbo, concluding the experience with hotel drop-off.
