Elqui Valley Full Day Tour
The tour begins with hotel pick-up in La Serena or Coquimbo, followed by a drive toward the foothills of the Andes Mountains and into the Elqui Valley. The first stop is the Puclaro Reservoir, where travelers can admire the views and take photographs of the surrounding landscape.
The journey continues through the valley with a stop at a panoramic viewpoint, offering views of the contrasting scenery where semi-arid hills meet cultivated green valleys. The next destination is Pisco Elqui, a small village where visitors learn about local traditions and the process of producing Chilean pisco. The visit includes a guided tasting at Fundo Los Nichos Distillery.
After the distillery experience, the tour proceeds to Montegrande, birthplace of the poet Gabriela Mistral. Here, visitors explore the Gabriela Mistral School House Museum, gaining insight into the life and work of the Nobel Prize–winning author.
The next stop is Villaseca, a village known for its solar kitchens, where participants enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. The day continues in Vicuña, where there is time to walk around the Plaza de Armas and observe its characteristic buildings.
After the visit, transportation returns travelers to La Serena or Coquimbo, concluding the excursion with hotel drop-off.
