Drive up to the Christ the Redeemer Statue, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, perched on top of Corcovado Mountain after being picked up from your hotel. The journey is brief and gorgeous, passing through the Tijuca Forest before revealing stunning panoramas of the entire city.
Then go to Sugarloaf Mountain, which is close to Urca. Take two cable cars up the mountain, stopping at Urca Hill first and then continuing to the peak of Sugarloaf, which is 1,295 feet high (395m). Finish the excursion with a breathtaking panorama of Rio de Janeiro.
