Spend an unforgettable day exploring Peninsula Valdés, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This full-day adventure combines a whale-watching boat trip from Puerto Pirámides (available from June to November) with a land journey through the southern section of the peninsula. Along the way, enjoy spectacular coastal scenery, observe elephant seals, sea lions, and guanacos, and visit unique natural landmarks. Transfers from Puerto Madryn hotels and a bilingual guide are included.
Your day begins with an early hotel pick-up in Puerto Madryn, heading toward the Isthmus Carlos Ameghino for a stop at the interpretation center, where you’ll learn about the geology, flora, and fauna of the peninsula.
Continue to Puerto Pirámides, where you’ll board a boat for an exciting whale-watching trip (from June to November). Outside whale season, you’ll enjoy a coastal navigation to spot sea lions and seabirds.
After the navigation, the journey continues across the southern coast of the peninsula. You’ll visit the Salinas Grande and Chica, then head to Caleta Valdés and Punta Cantor, excellent places to spot elephant seals and appreciate the dramatic coastal formations.
Throughout the trip, keep an eye out for Patagonian wildlife such as guanacos, rheas, maras, and foxes roaming the steppe.
In the late afternoon, you’ll return to Puerto Madryn with drop-off at your hotel.

Whale-watching season runs from June to November, when the southern right whales arrive in Puerto Pirámides.
