Upon arriving at La Lorenza, the adventure begins with a hike through the forest. The trail is alive with diverse flora and bird species, providing a perfect introduction to the jungle’s natural beauty. Along the way, you’ll discover the yerba mate plant and participate in an interactive cultural experience. Around a bonfire or in a cozy house, learn about mate’s history and significance while preparing the infusion yourself.
Next, a short walk takes you to the riverbank, where kayaks await. Paddle gently along the serene waters that separate borders, soaking in the jungle’s tranquil rhythm. On warm days, take a refreshing swim in the river.
Back on land, enjoy a guided nature walk through the forest, where you’ll observe and learn about the area’s natural history. This leads to the main house, where a delightful meal—either lunch or an early dinner—is served. Enjoy the breathtaking views and engage in enriching conversations with the hosts of La Lorenza.

PLAN B POLICY
In case of storms with electrical activity or heavy rainfall that jeopardize the safety of individuals, and in the event of environmental conditions that prevent navigation on the river:
At La Lorenza, we do not cancel excursions due to rain. We are located in an eco-region called the Atlantic Rainforest, meaning intermittent rainfall occurs frequently, providing the jungle with renewed vitality.
For excursions involving the river, we wait for the rain to pass or proceed with rain ponchos. However, if we receive an alert for electrical activity from the Coast Guard or if there is heavy rainfall that puts people’s lives at risk, we will suspend the river activity for safety reasons. The activity will be replaced by the “La Lorenza Jungle and Culture” excursion (mate experience) on solid ground as a Plan B.
Plan B is also applied in case of environmental phenomena (e.g., rising or lowering river levels) that prevent navigation on the river.
After booking and finalizing payment, you will receive a confirmation for your purchase. Then, in less than 24 hours, you will receive the voucher that you can use to take the excursions.
If the reservation is for the next day, we will be attentive and we will send you the voucher before your excursion begins.
Closed shoes, long pants, a bathing suit, a change of clothes, insect repellent, and a reusable water bottle.
The experience includes a private bilingual guide, sit-on-top kayaks with insurance, a hand fan, towel, poncho raincoat, and lunch (AM) or early dinner (PM) with beverages (water, natural juice, beer, and Chardonnay wine).

Once you’ve completed your booking and payment, you’ll receive a confirmation of your purchase. Within 24 hours, you’ll receive the voucher you’ll need to participate in the excursions.
