Stanley Hop On Hop Off Bus Tour
Enjoy a flexible all day pass that lets you explore Stanley freely and comfortably. Buses run approximately every 20 to 30 minutes and you may hop on or hop off at any of the designated stops as often as you like.
Your experience begins at the Jetty Visitor Centre, the main meeting point close to the cruise ship landing area. From here you can board the bus and start discovering the highlights of the town.
One of the first stops is the Lady Elizabeth Shipwreck Viewpoint, a scenic photo opportunity featuring the historic 1913 iron hull resting in the harbor. Continuing along the route, you will reach Yorke Bay, home to a charming Gentoo penguin colony where you can observe these birds in their natural environment.
The bus then connects to Gypsy Cove Nature Reserve, a beautiful area with coastal trails, seabirds, and chances to spot Magellanic penguins. You may also explore historic WWI sites along the paths.
Another iconic stop is the Totem Pole, a colorful landmark that represents cultural connections with other cities around the world. It is a fun and quick stop ideal for photos.
For those wishing to relax or enjoy a snack, the route includes Rose’s Coffee Shop and Shorty’s Diner, two local favorites perfect for a break during your day.
The journey also includes a visit to the Historic Dockyard Museum, where you can learn about the Falklands’ history, maritime heritage, and local culture.
You may continue hopping on and off throughout the day, exploring Stanley at your own rhythm until your cruise schedule requires you to return to the port.
