Your adventure begins with a visit to the Parwa cultural center in Chinchero, where you’ll witness the traditional art of Andean weaving. Learn about the symbolism behind the colors and patterns, and see live demonstrations of techniques and dye preparation passed down through generations.
Next, explore the impressive archaeological site of Ollantaytambo. This ancient Inca complex served as a military, religious, and agricultural center. Climb the stone terraces, visit the main temple and fountains, and admire the view over the town, the only one that still preserves its original Inca urban layout.
After a flavorful lunch in the Sacred Valley, continue to the Pisac archaeological complex. Stroll through one of the valley’s most remarkable Inca sites, known for its advanced city planning and unique “neighborhoods” for ceremonies, rooms, and temples. Enjoy sweeping views of the town of Pisac before heading back to Cusco.
