Departure from Ushuaia 🚐
We begin the adventure with pick-up from your hotel around 8:30 am*. After a short drive, we arrive at Tierra Mayor Valley, where the hike begins.
Hiking through the Valley 🥾
The trail takes you across a beautiful, sometimes muddy, sub-Antarctic forest and peat bog landscape. Though the route has moderate difficulty, it’s suitable for travelers in good health with appropriate trekking gear.
Arrival at Laguna Esmeralda 💚
After approximately two hours of hiking, you’ll reach the lagoon — a true natural gem surrounded by mountains and native forest. Here, we pause for lunch by the water’s edge, taking in one of the most iconic views of southern Patagonia.
Return Journey 👣
We begin our return hike to the starting point and drive back to Ushuaia, arriving around 3:00 pm.

Cancellations without charges up to 48 hours prior departure
After booking and finalizing payment, you will receive a confirmation for your purchase. Then, in less than 24 hours, you will receive the voucher that you can use to take the excursions.
If the reservation is for the next day, we will be attentive and we will send you the voucher before your excursion begins.
Vegetarians and coeliacs: adequate menus available if requested in advance.
Waterproof jacket + fleece jacket. Waterproof walking shoes/trainers with good traction. Hat or cap. Sunglasses. Extra footwear and extra socks, since the ground may be flooded.
