This full-day horseback riding experience explores the remote and less-visited northern coast of Easter Island. Combining archaeological sites, coastal scenery, and cultural landmarks, it offers a deep connection with the island’s history and natural environment.
The journey concludes at Anakena Beach, where you will have time to relax before returning to Hanga Roa.
Full-Day Horseback Riding – North Coast Adventure
The experience begins with pick-up from your hotel and transfer to the stable. After receiving your horse and riding equipment, the journey starts toward the western coast of the island.
The first stop is Ahu Te Peu, an ancient village with significant archaeological remains. From there, the route continues along the coastline toward the north, visiting several locations including Hanga Opea, Hanga Omohi, Ahu Vaimata, the large bay of Hanga Oteo, and the petroglyphs of Tara Kai Ua.
Throughout the journey, each stop reveals part of the island’s history while the remote surroundings offer a strong connection with nature. The ride ends at Anakena Beach, where you will have approximately one hour to relax and enjoy the setting.
Afterward, you will leave the horses at the designated point and return to Hanga Roa by vehicle, followed by drop-off at your accommodation.

Yes, regular excursions operate on December 24, 25, and 31. However, no excursion services will be available on January 1, 2027.
Our excursions are suitable for passengers of all ages, with no specific age restrictions.
Free cancellation up to 30 days before arrival in Rapa Nui. Cancellations made between 29 and 15 days before arrival incur a 50% charge. Cancellations made within 14 days of arrival incur a 100% charge.
After booking and finalizing payment, you will receive a confirmation for your purchase. Then, in less than 24 hours, you will receive the voucher that you can use to take the excursions.
If the reservation is for the next day, we will be attentive and we will send you the voucher before your excursion begins.
A minimum of 2 participants is required.

Once you’ve completed your booking and payment, you’ll receive a confirmation of your purchase. Within 24 hours, you’ll receive the voucher you’ll need to participate in the excursions.
If you’ve booked an excursion for the following day, don’t worry. We’ll make sure to send you the voucher before the excursion begins.
