The experience begins with pick-up at the ferry terminal in Colonia del Sacramento. From there, you will head to the location where the cultural workshop takes place.
Upon arrival, local musicians will introduce you to Candombe, explaining its African origins and its role in Uruguay’s cultural identity. You will learn about the different types of drums used in this musical tradition and how each contributes to the rhythm.
The experience continues with a hands-on drumming session, where participants are invited to play the traditional instruments and practice basic rhythms under the guidance of the musicians.
During the gathering, you will also enjoy mate and tortas fritas, adding a local cultural element to the experience.
At the end of the workshop, you will return to the starting point, concluding the activity.
