Archaeological Tour in San Pedro de Atacama
The experience begins with hotel pick-up in San Pedro de Atacama, followed by a short transfer of approximately 10 km south to Tulor Village.
At Tulor, you will explore one of the oldest settlements in Chile, dating back around 3,000 years, known for its distinctive circular mud architecture. A guided visit provides insight into early Atacameño life and construction techniques.
The journey then continues 10 km north to the Pukará de Quitor, a defensive fortress dating from the 12th century. Here, you will walk through approximately 200 stone structures, learning about its strategic importance and the history of the region’s ancestral communities.
After the visit, the tour returns to San Pedro de Atacama, ending with hotel drop-off.
