Vallenar Wine & Stars Experience
The experience begins in the afternoon with a city tour of Vallenar. From Monday to Friday, the visit includes the Huasco Provincial Museum, offering insight into the history and development of the city and its desert surroundings.
After leaving the city center, the tour continues to one of the vineyards located on the outskirts of Vallenar. Here, participants learn about local wine production and enjoy a wine tasting accompanied by food pairing, highlighting the distinctive characteristics of northern Chile’s terroir.
The journey then continues to Espacio Mehüen, a creative space in the desert landscape. At this location, visitors learn about the process of crafting artisan candles and lamps made from colored earth collected in the surrounding hills.
During sunset, participants enjoy a cocktail prepared with local products, hosted by the family that lives and works in this environment.
As night arrives, the experience continues with astronomical observation in the Atacama Desert. Accompanied by an amateur astronomer, participants observe the night sky through telescopes while learning about the relationship between the stars and indigenous cosmovision.
At the end of the activity, the group returns to Vallenar, concluding the experience with hotel drop-off.
