Stargazing at Starlight Reserve
The experience begins with hotel pick-up in La Serena or Coquimbo, followed by a drive toward the area surrounding Fray Jorge National Park, known for its certified dark skies.
Upon arrival at the Viento Sur Astronomical Center, specialized astrotourism guides introduce the activity with an introductory astronomy talk, preparing visitors for the observation session.
The observation continues with professional telescopes, allowing participants to observe planets, nebulae, star clusters, stars, and the Moon, depending on seasonal visibility.
The experience then moves to naked-eye observation, where visitors identify the main southern hemisphere constellations under exceptional night conditions.
To conclude the evening, participants receive a digital night photograph as a keepsake before returning to La Serena, ending the experience with hotel drop-off.

After booking and finalizing payment, you will receive a confirmation for your purchase. Then, in less than 24 hours, you will receive the voucher that you can use to take the excursions.
If the reservation is for the next day, we will be attentive and we will send you the voucher before your excursion begins.
Warm clothing is recommended. Visitors may also bring a camera or mobile phone with night mode for photographs.
Depending on the season, observation may include planets, nebulae, star clusters, stars, and the Moon.

Once you’ve completed your booking and payment, you’ll receive a confirmation of your purchase. Within 24 hours, you’ll receive the voucher you’ll need to participate in the excursions.
