Half-Day Tour to Isla Martillo from Puerto Almanza
Your journey begins at the Ushuaia tourist pier, where you’ll meet your driver. Hop aboard a comfortable vehicle and head north along National Route 3. Along the way, enjoy scenic views of Carbajal Valley, Monte Olivia, Cerro Castor, and the winter resorts of Tierra Mayor and Las Cotorras.
Then you’ll turn onto Route J, a winding road through dense forests, passing by Laguna Victoria before reaching Puerto Almanza, a picturesque fishing village famous for its king crab.
Once there, you’ll meet the boat crew and board a semi-rigid vessel designed for small groups. Navigate through BahÃa Brown and cross Paso GuaranÃ, a peaceful area rich in marine life. The highlight awaits at Isla Martillo, where you’ll observe colonies of Magellanic and Gentoo penguins up close in their natural environment.
After this unforgettable encounter, return to Puerto Almanza by boat and drive back to Ushuaia.
