Full-Day Glaciar Sur Aventura Trek & Navigation
Begin your adventure with pick-up from your hotel in El Calafate around 7:30 AM, heading to Puerto Pioneros to board your boat for a scenic navigation across Lago Argentino.
Upon reaching the shores of Lago FrÃas, you’ll disembark and begin a 13-kilometer guided hike through the remote Patagonian wilderness. The trail passes through forests, rocky terrain, and scenic valleys, gaining and losing elevation (±70 meters). Trekking poles are included for your comfort and stability.
If weather allows, you’ll enjoy your picnic lunch facing the glaciers. In case of strong wind or rain, the group will retreat to a dome refuge near Lago FrÃas, where hot drinks and shelter await.
Throughout the day, your expert bilingual guides will share insights on the region’s geology, flora, and fauna. The hike is demanding but rewarding, offering stunning landscapes and a feeling of true immersion in the Patagonian wilderness.
At the end of the hike, return by boat to Puerto Pioneros, and from there, continue back to El Calafate, arriving around 7:00 PM.

Yes, the tour operates daily, but on December 25 and January 1 the departure is one hour later than usual.
Yes. This experience is only available for travelers aged 12 and up. Guests over 65 may join with a prior health evaluation.
No. This trek involves a 13 km mountain hike with no vehicle support. It is not suitable for travelers with limited mobility.
Free cancellation up to 72 hours before the tour. In case of adverse weather, an alternate itinerary may be offered or the tour may be canceled with refund options.
After booking and finalizing payment, you will receive a confirmation for your purchase. Then, in less than 24 hours, you will receive the voucher that you can use to take the excursions.
If the reservation is for the next day, we will be attentive and we will send you the voucher before your excursion begins.
Yes. A picnic lunch is provided, including sandwiches, salad, granola, fruit, and a muffin. Vegetarian and gluten-free options available upon request.
Yes. A mandatory online medical form must be submitted to confirm your participation.
Just complete the booking form. When you finish will be redirected to Paypal where you can pay the tour. You can pay without an account and with your credit card. 
Once you’ve completed your booking and payment, you’ll receive a confirmation of your purchase. Within 24 hours, you’ll receive the voucher you’ll need to participate in the excursions.
If you’ve booked an excursion for the following day, don’t worry. We’ll make sure to send you the voucher before the excursion begins.
