Trekking to Laguna Verde in Cerro Castrillo National Park
Discover the incredible landscapes of the Carretera Austral on this trek through Cerro Castillo National Park, which departs from Coyhaique. This alternative will show you the beautiful Green Lagoon, formed by melting glaciers.
At the agreed time, in the morning your guide / instructor will pick you up at the previously agreed meeting place in Coyhaique to move to Cerro Castillo National Park, located 100km away.
Once at the goal, the 9km trek begins to the majestic Laguna Verde.
The hike begins through lenga and ñire forests and continues along a moraine until reaching Laguna Verde, with unique views of Lake General Carrera and the RÃo Ibáñez Valley. It is estimated 3.30 hours of walking on a medium difficulty path with several ascents to the Lagoon. Once at the top, there will be a well-deserved 45-minute break to enjoy a replenishing box lunch and appreciate in all its magnitude the Laguna Verde, which is formed by the water of the imposing glaciers of Cerro Castillo.
At the agreed time, we will begin to say goodbye to this natural wonder walking back for approximately 3 hours. along the same path to the starting point. Return to Coyhaique.
