Tapir and Yacutinga Watching Tour in Urugua-í Park
Accompanied by Emilio White, an expert ornithologist and naturalist guide, you will go to the Uruguay-í Provincial Park to look for two rare animals near the Iguazu Falls: the Tapir and the Yacutinga (black-fronted piping guan).
If you are a lover of animals and nature, you should definitely take this tour during your visit to Iguazu Falls.
You will be picked up from your hotel, and from there, we will take the 101 National Road for an hour and a half through the heart of the Iguazu National Park to the Urugua-í Provincial Park.
Once there, you’ll follow a wonderful trail expecting to spot the black-fronted Yacutinga, an endemic bird that only exists in this ecoregion and no other place on earth. The tapir, the largest mammal in South America, will be our target when we reach the trail’s end and the sun sets (chances are better then!).
Outings: We advise leaving Iguazu at 3 pm. We plan to return there at 8:30 or 9 pm.
